@Captain Rupertikjakmos "gay" "virgin" "emo fags" wow, real clever insults, what ever will the band do in the face of such a mighty intellect like yours? It's not 2003, insults like that are just stupid nowadays. Also if you think they went emo then you clearly have no idea what actual emo is. They became a hard rock band. Nu metal is awesome but it's not the only form of good music, and just because something isn't that heavy doesn't mean it can't be good. Stop acting like your opinions of the band are facts and let people appreciate the new stuff. It's fine if you don't enjoy it but that doesn't make it objectively bad.

I don't follow PR, at all, but I'm their age and born-and-bred in a small town in the foothills not far from Vacaville, where they're from. I just heard this song on the radio today, couldn't place the vocals, so looked it up. Not sure what I think of the song, yet, but was pretty blown away to see it all filmed right here, literally on Main Street of two different, adjacent zip codes in my home county. The barbershop is in Placerville; Ab's Dragon House Gym is in El Dorado. The burnt hillside could be anywhere in virtually all of CA where there's hills-and there ARE a few of those in Vacaville, haha. But, Jacoby lives in El Dorado Hills now, so I'd guess that burnt patch is pretty likely out Latrobe Road. And the tattoo parlor...I'm not sure. But the scenes shot in the shop of sorts, all the outdoor work showing rural peeps just living their lives...I'd put money that that was all shot here, too. It COULD be Vacaville: there's a good streak of that lifestyle going on there, too...but the hills, and the feel of the people, match El Dorado County and the foothills much more than the Central Valley. I tried very briefly googling where the vid was shot. You know, cuz I can't readily identify the school, etc. The only mention I could find was something like "...was filmed in his rural hometown of Sacramento...". What BS. It was clearly NOT filmed in Sac, he is not from Sac, and anyone who knows ANYTHING about California knows Sac is the capitol, and wasn't "rural" even when it was still considered a cow town as compared to "real" cities. So, the derpy-derp that wrote that article sucks, and I'm no closer to learning about what I can't identify with my own eyes. If anyone has the inside scoop, I'd love to know, for my own curiosity. Placerville has grown. My mental image of it will always, to a degree, remain the truly tiny, insular, ruggedly rural community it was when I was growing up here-which it actually is not, at all, any more. To see it put on the map in this way, though, is still not exactly common. I think if anyone at all bothers to read this comment, they may, depending on where they're from in the US or the world, be really surprised to see this side of California. I really think it's Cali's best-kept secret (at least to those not living nearby) that interior CA is quite...rural. Or, used to be. The old-timers are dying out, all of the state is getting bulldozed into monotonous strip mall Californication, and it's not what it used to be...but this vid does the lifestyle still predominating/hanging on here some decent justice. I DO think it's funny, though, that even though the lead singer IS a resident of El Dorado County now, you'd have to know how us hillbillies think of the zip code he lives in. The lifestyle he's showcasing in the vid is distinctly opposite of the filthy-rich, precisely-elite place he moved cuz he got rich. All a very interesting little interlude to my day. Cheers, all.
