Outstanding teaching, command of the topic, and allowed me for the first time to control the video delay of my wife's Zoom meetings with her Bible study group. This also has opened up a new horizon for myself, as my primary use of computers is business related, as I am in electronic security, but have very little time to 'play'. We have faced trying to find a solution, and today i resolved myself to find a source of insight, for not only understanding OBS more so, but your enlightening me about the virtual cable software, has opened two horizons at once. Naturally I will be digging deeper, and unpacking more, but I did subscribe to your channel, and look forward to more enlightenment. Also, I have contributed to the sources of these products, which is only fair, considering that they selflessly share their talents towards our enlightenment. Thank you for sharing your journey with those of us that cannot stay focused on these types of things, but at the same time, need to understand such, to correct issues, and spread our wings a bit!

You are the first person who have properly explained the virtual cables. I may finally give it a try.

We have been struggling with the audio delay on our many Zoom interviews with media during the COVID-19 pandemic. I believe the use of the Virtual Cables might have solved the problem. Thank you so much. You are the first KZbin presenter who has explained the proper use of the virtual cables.

Thank you for your kind note. You may want to consider NDI, too. You can see it in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/raOcgZehjZ5mja8

Thanks for the info, can you turn the glare off your glasses? Maybe move your monitor down?

Hi. Thanks for your video. Which is better NDI or Virtual Cable A and B? Thanks

I don't think I found a significant audio quality differences. Once audio is digital, the quality would pretty much stay consistent.

Hi Yoram, thank you for making this video! Question: What should I do if I see "Cable Input" in my Volume Mixer instead of "Cable Output"? (When you show muting your Cable Output step at 3:00.) Also in my Volume Mixer I find "Cable Input" under the Device section; under my Applications section I only see "System Sounds."

I have done this but the video and audio are out of sync, with a big delay in video. Is there a way to stop the lag in the video? If I play a video through OBS and then into Zoom, the video and audio are fine, but there is a sync issue between the IP camera and microphone. Help!!

Hello, your video is fantastic. I was able to do everything right, the only thing i still suffering is the lag/delay i have from my camera with elgato hd 60. How do i increase the "lag" for my vb-cable microphone so i can match with the camera delay so they can sync up (audio and video) ?
@YoramSolomon3 жыл бұрын
Paulo, if I understand your question correctly, click on the cog wheel in the audio mixer in OBS near the microphone you want to change. Set to monitor, and then play with the microphone delay (plus or minus. In some cases I found myself going MINUS, probably because of the HD60 delay). But remember that for Zoom you would have to select the output from the OBS audio. I think that a simpler solution would be to use NDI, as in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/raOcgZehjZ5mja8

Thank you friend! I had just this problem! Your video helped me! Now I have the following problem: The image in OBS is perfect but when it gets to Zoom there seems to be a very large drop in frames. Camera image is not smooth. Could you help me with this problem? Thanks!!

This wouldn't work because the audio monitor doesn't allow you to add delay, called Sync Offset, in the Audio Advanced Settings. Because the output of the monitor, is only before any modifications. Or did you find another way?

sir I am nor getting option of "cable output" in volume mixer .

Hi Sarkari, I'm not sure what the reason is. I would recommend installing it again, but following the instructions from VB-Audio (vb-audio.com/Cable/). Sometimes a new version comes out that works slightly differently. Also, I do believe that the installation requires you to restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

Hello! Thanks so much for this video. Ive been using NDI virtual input voor audio and video to broadcast to zoom. Audio still seems problematic. Just quits after a while. Do you recognize this problem by any chance?

I tired this set up and still noticing a lag between my audio and video? At this point, could it be a hardware thing? Or is there another software solution out ther.e I followed each step you outlined even tuned the sync offset to 400. Still a lag.
