It may be worth mentioning that you can also collect all the cargo using collector limpets. I normally go out in my Python and collect everything I can with limpets, but it's just as easy with something like a Cobra, especially if you have the space to spare.

you were saying about unlocking the next tier of an engineer. I believe you need 3 of the previous level to unlock the next, but after that the impact is a third of what it was previously. so using T1 upgrades, you need 3 to unlock T2, 9 for T3, 27 for T3, 81 for T4, and 243 for T5. You can mix and match so 2 T2 upgrades and 3 T1 (worth the same as a T2) would unlock tier 3.

Instead of the shield bank, I would have installed a limpet collector controller if your sol need was getting materials. While limpets take up space and cost a little bit, it would have made the collection process alot easier and quicker. If the limpets pick up stuff you dont need, then you could just dump it. But this way, your can make your kill, collect everything from it fast, then goto your next kill alot more efficiently. If you run outa room, then dump what you dont need and then continue.

Unfortunately working on all my weapons broke me. I found getting my FSD Grade 5 a breeze but the work for all my hardpoints are a bit much. I actually found a lot fun in my Exploration Conda and may stick to that for now.

As a noob to your channel and to Elite: Dangerous (I played Elite in the 80s on my Dad's BBC Acorn with a secondary processor ;-)) I keep finding myself wondering what made you switch from PC to PS4. I'm on PC and loving it.

Does the engineers upgrade only apply to the current ship, or all ships in your fleet?

It applies to the module that you run your engineer mod on. So if you engineer mod your power distributor, you are only applying it to the power distributor for the ship you are currently in when modding. However you can always then store that module later and put it in another ship if that modules fits another ship (has the same size or higher)

Hey Obsidian! I'm wondering/hoping that you will do a video on combat zones.. I'm a newbie on ps4, and the latest community goal is a combat zone.. And after a few kills, I end up getting my @ss handed to me.

Combat zones are much harder for new players. If you are not in some capable wing, don't even try, stick with bounty hunting until you find people to play with or until you get some big bad ship.
