Another good way of finding unclaimed Systems close in to the bubble is to put jump-range to 'Most Economic' this will give you way more systems that most simply jump straight over at max-jump range on their way out. My DBX build. Core internals: lightweight alloy, 2a power plant, 4d thrusters, 5a fsd(modified), 3d life support, 3d power distributor, 3d sensors, 5c fuel tank Optional internals: 4a fuel scoop, 4b afm unit, 3e cargo(not really needed), 2g planetary vehicle hanger, advanced discovery scanner, detailed surface scanner Hard points: Empty Utility mounts: 4x heat sink launcher Jump range: Max 57.31 Unladen 52.84 Laden 51.85 Cost: 13,365,800cr Rebuy: 668,290cr Notes: Afm can be changed to 4d for a total cost of 11,966,120cr but an afm better than 4b will require a larger power plant reducing jump range, with 2a power plant u will need to disable some heat sinks or the afm until needed only thing I find this build lacking is a repair limpet and shield both of which are a luxury anyway imo, srv is mainly for gathering resources for emergency refueling and afm ammo

I just bought my first DBX so this video is invaluable! Couple of questions if you don't mind: No cargo space at all? If you're using the mining laser to scoop stuff to repair, where does it go to? No refinery needed? Also, how often do you run into (NPC or otherwise) pirates? It's happening a fair bit where I am now, but I assume drops off to near zero the further out you go? On a kind of related note (since you touched on it) - how often are community goals Horizons-only content? I don't have it yet so couldn't participate in this week's one. Also also, I assume Horizons is kind of a must-have for exploration types? Looking forward to the next exploration video, unless it's out already and I just can't see it :)

by increasing rank with said faction's system. He did a video on this not too long after this one on how to rank up with the federation(i think) to access Sol (our solar system) There are 5 or 6 permits available and a further 3 or 4 that are not yet obtainable

@arrxzon7 жыл бұрын
He had the biggest and best fuel scoop in his ship. (top internal slot is the biggest on your ship. Then part quality usually goes from F to A (F being worst and A being the best) An example; On my Asp Explorer, Internal Compartments goes up to size 6 which I can fit with an expensive 6A fuel scoop for a whopping refuel rate of 878 kg/s, fully refuelling the ship in just over 30seconds on a nearly empty 32Tonne capacity tank.

They are both great ships for exploring but if you have the money then go for the Asp as it can fit a 6A fuel scoop. That will cut down the time needed to refuel quite considerably.

Still no tips about Li Yong-Rui always having discounts on all ships and modules? And discounts reducing rebuy costs? Come on, new players need to know Obsidian... You are only showing them how NOT to buy new ships. :D And you could also mention that selling modules gives back 100% of your money but selling whole ship takes away portion of it's price. Those are crucial information for people on budget.

@Moosemansmithy4 жыл бұрын
Only one mistake I heard and it was about Flying Without a shield, touching down on a planet and taking damage. He said you can repair that with a field maintenance unit. You must use repair limpets for those repairs. You will need limpets on board. A cargo rack and a limpet controller. You can also send the size limpets which is often times better in Exploration to keep you light. Each Limpet weighs 1 ton. If you sent the size then it will cost you ten nickel and 10 iron for 4. That will usually be enough to get you squared away if it's just an exploration ship. On exploration ships I personally prefer the lightweight planetary vehicle Hangar. They do require more power but if you power them down until you need them it won't matter. You can also set your power priorities at 4 or 5 so that if your ship needs power for other functions the planetary vehicle Hangar automatic shutdown. If you are in super Cruise, fuel scooping or whatever your planetary vehicle Hangar will be shut down. When you land on the surface of the planet your thrusters will shut off giving you a lot more power and your planetary vehicle Hangar will come on on its own. It will give you roughly one light-year better jump range. it all adds up when it comes to jump range.
