This looks fine for an in-season workout where the focus is balance, stability, range of motion, tendon health, etc... but off-season? This aint enough. Gotta bring out the big boy weights and get down to business.

This is why so many NBA and professional athletes get injured….doing exercises that has nothing to do with their sport! The year before Derrick Rose tore his ACL I saw a video of him jumping off one leg onto a folding chair! SMH
@jamiefoxxx11186 ай бұрын
Rose got injured due to over usage. He was on the court with almost 40 mins played up 12 pts with 1:30 left in the game. Funny thing is Thibs hasn’t learned his lesson with this 2023-2024 NY Knicks team. Working on acceleration and deceleration is very important for high performing athletes. This is NOT why NBA and Professional athletes get injured. Stop spreading nonsense.
@xavierslim6 ай бұрын
@@jamiefoxxx1118 especially when you account for the fact that Spencer Dinwiddie has been available in 90% of his games over the last 3 years...whatever he's doing clearly works
@user-hn6xl6xe3y6 ай бұрын
@@jamiefoxxx1118Been watching the OGs like KG and em talking about these training sessions causing more damage to the young guys compared to their era of training. I mean has anyone's vert, cardio or sprint speed increased compared to the early 00s, 90s as a result of these new training regimes? Coz to me it just looks like crossfit methods that have squat to do with BBall mechanics wormed their way into the sport coz they look sexy.

Hmm the thing that stood out to me was him never, NEVER jumping off the opposite leg/plant.
@baskingbal16 ай бұрын
While I do think a lot of these exercises are pretty dumb, resistance training (when programmed with proper rest and nutrition) decreases your injury risk while helping you stay stronger and explosive as you age.
