Any hot spotting or sparkles. Those 1.5 gain screens usually have a lot of sparkles when watching in the dark.

JoelG4K Is this the same screen you checked out at CES? The case and weight bar look much bigger. Is this still a pre-production model or the final version?

Yes it is the same screen, although this looks a bit different, they told me the production version will have the slow retreating mechanism.

This screen is great for standard throw projectors, its super easy to install and picture looks great, the XY screens is designed for UST laser projectors, it absorbs the ambient light and it enhances contrast and colors, so it depends on what type of projector you have.

I see sparkling on mine plus the angle view is very small, for a ligh room ornot control room is fine but for a total dark room it looks very bright I'm planning to diy white screen with Carl's material and check how it works for my room. I'm using epson 5040ub with cinegrey 5D

You can use a short throw, I used the ViewSonic X10-4KE, it is not designed for Utra short throw laser projectors.

I learned nothing watching your review. Just paint your wall light grey it looks the best I tried five high end screens and the painted wall wins every time

This video does not help us the normal humans at all. this projector is a 3000000:1 contrast ratio. how about showing this screen with Viewsonic 1:12000 ratio or up to 1:30000 ratio. everything will look amazing with this kind of contrast ratio, even cheap ALR/CLR screens.

Hey @joelsterg4k . I want to buy that screen but it claims that you need a certain throw Ratio, but I‘ve got a benq Th690st which is short throw. Wonder of it Works for that since your Pj is also shortthrow . Thanks for your experience.
