I've seen this guy (mostly on this channel) a lot, but I definitely never knew he had a masters in atomic physics!

I think that you can tell that someone lifts heavy from their proportions, if a guy does a lot of heavy overhead pressing for example his shoulders, upper back and triceps will develop in a more balanced fashion than someone doing more isolation for each of those bodyparts. For instance, if a guys training consists mainly of isolation work for his delts and triceps there might be different growth responses for those muscles, but if you do an overhead press the weaker/lagging muscle will catch up with the rest of the muscles worked in that exercise before you can put more weight on the bar, thereby balancing your physique to look more proportionate and natural. That way you will develop a balanced physique where people can tell that you're strong, because a guy with disproportionately large delts won't look like he's a strong overhead presser. I hope that made sense to anyone reading

+howaboutthatsuckah if you training is balanced you can look the same way with only doing isolation work, not that i do that or even recommend it, just sayin...

martyjanderson Pro bodybuilders do many things right, that doesn't mean they do ALL things right. Most ususlly got elite(top10%) genetics, do a ton of training volume, sleep well, eat well and use PEDs. If you got those things on point, how exactly you plan your training routine falls into second-tier. Still important, just not as much.

Patras Functional Top Team really pros use drugs and have good genetics... How about that... Guess what most pros do moderate training and alot of pumping if training like a powerlifter was that important more would do it. And frankly outside of Dan Green most pl couldnt hold a candle to a average national bber. Even Dan Green

martyjanderson If by pumping you mean high repetition sets taken to failure, then that accounts for a really large training volume, so I covered that already. And nobody said that Dan Green can rival an IFBB pro on stage. First of all he's never been at the appropriate bodyfat level. My point is just cause a guy at the top does something, doesn't mean that THAT something is right. For ex: Arnold used to train endless hrs at Gold's Gym. We now know that completely annihilating your body like that ain't optimal. But Arnold is Arnold. He did 1 thing 'kinda' wrong, and 10 things right.

ok, so, 8:30..... First of all, not even mentioning the fact that he has a masters in atomic physics, this dude has an auto immune dissease where his body responds to muscle damage by trying to fight it off like an ilness, yet he still trains, respect

powerbodybuilding or whatever i basically think of it exercise wise as squating for legs, heavy barbell curls for biceps, heavy skullcrushers for triceps, heavy overhead barbell presses for delts, barbell rows for back vs the typical bodybuilding stuff where you'd have leg press for legs , preacher curls for biceps, pushdowns for triceps, lat pulldowns for back side laterals for delts and shit like that. it's those differences that make the difference between powerbodybuilder and bodybuilder as when they step on stage they stand out, i mean Branch Warren for example doesnt look like Shawn Rhoden who was exclusively a bodybuilder for example, they tend to have a heavier harder looking muscle then those who train in the typicsal bodybuilding way. you can kinda tell how somebody trains by looking at them. yo can tell the difference between the guy that does a shitload of pullups and pullups and the guy who only does rows and the guy that only does barbell curls and shit then the guy that does lots of concentration curls and incline curls they just look different and the power bodybuilders are basically powerlifters on the inside but bodybuilders on the outside, if that makes sense.

Well the row vs pullups thing is mainly because rows will develop THE WHOLE back while pullups mainly train lats.

LMAO. “Bodybuilders don’t wanna train hard like powerlifters”? You know bodybuilding is harder right? Yeah let me train 3-4 days per week, resting 5-10 mins between sets, doing 3-4 exercises max, and eating whatever I want. Just because a bodybuilder doesn’t wanna act stupid and get hurt doesn’t mean they don’t train hard. Each category has its own lane. 😂
