What a lovely decision! I'm making the bread today and my family is already referring to it as Char's bread. Thank you for sharing her with us.

Thank you for writing everything down. I have all of the ingredients on hand but had never thought of using cottage cheese. I can see that it makes it a more high protein bread and should be tender because of the cottage cheese.

Some years ago I dreamed I was riding a bike and came up a rise and discovered a radio station there. it was marked WCCO. The next night I was playing around with a one tube 100 year old radio I had acquired. The first station I finally stopped on and listened to turned out to be WCCO-AM. I could not have planned because the dial is marked 0-100. And it is hundreds of miles away from me.

Well, first the reporter needs to learn to pronounce your name right! 🤪 Anyhoo, how did WCCO learn of this woman and you?? Such a sweet and unique way of memorializing an individual! You actually become so involved in people's lives. Quite humbling and an honor. 😌💕
@msr111616 күн бұрын
Here in Chicago, there was a reporter who encouraged viewers to contact him about human interest stories like this one. He would have featured the head stone engraver, first asking about her most unusual requests from bereaved families, and a recipe is certainly out of the ordinary enough to get the backstory on the air. That bread sounds very tasty toasted for breakfast !

I'm an RN, work with neurologists and they are now saying Alzheimer's Disease is going to be Diabetes Type 3. This woman making bread every week might have lead to that disease. I baked my own bread every week for 4 decades and had diabetes. I've gone keto 4 years ago and reversed my Type 2 Diabetes completely. This is a nice tribute but really focus on what you put in your mouth. Wheat, high fructose corn syrup, sugar, fluoride very well might be leading to major health problems we are suffering as a country.

Hey WCCO, Isn't one of the first things you teach people is to be sure of pronouncing names correctly? Your "talent'' in this this story should be sentenced to watch Grumpy Old Men until he gets Gustafson correct. Not from around here is he.
