i remember being in middle school and being allowed to stay up to watch this on HBO because my mom wanted me to hear what kind of message Ellen gave in this show! It was very powerful to me at the time.

Wow, that dance got from really funny to really, really touching and meaningful. Pushed and pulled on, attacked from every side, trying to run away, breaking down... I think this "interpretive dance" actually WAS the best way to tell her story. This woman is amazing and strong and she deserves all my respect for making it through. Ellen, you are an idol - not just for gay people, but for everyone. A true Idol.
