let's set some new goals!!! I've now stopped dieting and i'm back to my pre holiday weight. So it's time to get my calories back up and focus on some new goals. I hope you enjoy this video!! Ells xxx

I have run long distance for quite a few years and my advice would be to really slow down on your runs. I found that this was the only thing that helped my stitch…it is very hard to run slower when you are fit enough to go faster (or if you run with your man :) But, run slow, then go slower than even that, and work your way up. I hope that helps.

I used to always get a stitch as well then I started having electrolytes in the morning and that helped massively. Might be worth a try. Keep it up though you're doing amazing ☺️

Go to the good running store and try different shoes, a good store should give you the possibility to run at least few meters on the treadmill or in store. That’s the best way to try your next pair

Hi! I only get stitches running when I am going too fast. It’s a huge indicator I’m moving too quick. Hope this helps!

@@Ellena_fit it’ll come with time! The best running tip I’ve ever gotten is to take your ego out of it, running slower more often has made the biggest impact on my distance and speed.

hello Ellie ! so niiice that you are running ! I run a lot (marathons, half iron mans...) ! carbon plated shoes are ok for racing day and if you are looking to run a marathon in 3h or less ! it does not change anything for runners like us except it is very bad for your leg and feet.. be careful !

I have the Saucony Speeds and love them for tempo runs! Alphaflys are really designed as a race day shoe, for me there’s something cringe about running around the town in them unless you’re absolutely rapid I can’t face it 😂. Also you look insane ❤

When I get a stitch in running I always know it’s because I didn’t properly hydrate enough in advance. So running in the morning is a no go for me cuz I can’t drink a lot right after waking up.

I’ve heard a few people talk about how the alphaflys hurt their Achilles, I would stick with sauconys !

I think have a go at slowing down and if anything eat more. So like a bagel or half a bagel with a small amount of butter 45 mins before a run x

I used to get stitches all the time when I ran. I would recommend that you do still eat something reasonable before your runs (1.5-2hours before) you may be ok without eating for shorter runs but I don’t like not eating. I was also recommend that you don’t skip out on hydration - just water but also electrolytes. You can get stitches when you are not hydrated enough. So a glass of water before you leave shouldn’t make give you a stitch x

Hey Ellie, would you be happy in sharing any advice as to how to approach a reverse diet if you’ve been dieting for years and you don’t know what your maintenance calories would be? And what kind of macros would you suggest following? X

Forgot to mention, when you plan your meals do you always make sure to have roughly the same amount grams of carbs as you would protein? X

Hey lovely!! You won’t have been dieting for years consistently (they’d be nothing left 😅). You can work out your maintenance calories by multiplying your weight in lbs x 13-15. This will give you a good range xx

Macro wise always go for 1g protein per lbs of bodyweight then hit the rest of your calories with carbs & fats 💗🤍

Saucony speed 3 are great for tempo and training runs the ones you mentioned are racing shoes so i wouldnt spend the money xx

@@Ellena_fit not yet haha you will probs get the bug. Parkruns are a great way to start as its so social and you can try and beat your 5k time each week. Great speed training too xx

I say this with all kindness, I’m a physio, you really only need a carbon plated shoe if you are a higher level runner and plan on doing races …. They are really only a short term shoe - they don’t last long, and only help the body for super speedy runs or races. They can cause a lot of foot and calf problems if used too frequently 💖 I would suggest ASICS superblast, hoka mach 6 or new balance fuel cell! They are responsive without the carbon plate. The stitch is likely coming from under hydration or breathing, try breathing in through nose and out through mouth xx

Great video!. Being a runner as well i also think carbon plated shoes are overrated for just general speed/interval runs. Great for races but not an everyday speed shoe. I have the Asic Superblast for these runs. Not sure if it may help but as I generally run between 4am - 5am i dont always have time to eat much before i run as it gives me stitches but i do have a good quality sports hydration drink that has combination of electrolytes & carbs so im hydrating and getting fuel at the same time. Might be worth a try 😉. Good luck

With how many calories can i start a reverse diet? 😢 i exercice 6x per week and fast the more time of the week, but i dont know how much Calories i eat..... maintanance calories, i dont know. 160cm and 61 kg of weight

You may be going too fast too soon on your runs, I used to have the same problem, especially when you are a beginner you need to slow it down for your first few kilometers and eventually you will smash it girl 😊

It sounds like your going too fast. You should do speed intervals instead of straight high speed long runs to increase your capacity.

Hello Ellie 😊 I wanted to ask about your change of weight. I think that we are the same high (173 cm). Whenever my weight drops under 63 kg I lose my period. Do you have the same problem? Did you lose all the way up to 60 kg and you are still having your period? More than that, thank you for your content 😊❤
