😂mine seized and I barely got it shoveled into the mold! I used rose/geranium and lavander EO's! Boy that was a mistake. And instead of micas, I split the batter and used activated charcoal. That part did fine and it had the EO's in it too. Not sure why that part behaved ?? We will see in a few hours what kind of mess I made!😅

What happens when we add much kaolin clay? Does it help to harder the soap? And why did you add sugar in that? Please reply .
@EllenRuthSoap Жыл бұрын
Sugar is a lather booster, and I've never added too much clay, so I'm not sure what the outcome would be.

@@EllenRuthSoap okay thank you. So do you know any techniques to make soap much harder?

Wow. I have questions as a newbie 1. Can I use normal sugar / brown sugar 2. at wat oil temp u added coconut milk? 3. Temps of both oils & lye at mixing? 4. Can I use dry grinded coconut? TYI 🙂
@EllenRuthSoap3 жыл бұрын
I've not tried brown sugar, but any regular sugar will work. I usually soap at 75-90 degrees (that would include the milk). And I probably wouldn't add ground coconut, I'm not sure it would be shelf stable...

@@EllenRuthSoap u r super cute 🥰. Thank u so much for reply 🙂. Stay Blessed 🙏. Plz make a troubleshooting video in cp. I have asked several soap makers about it. For eg. I live in a high humidity area & it causes problems for isolated soaps during monsoon, for which I am still searching.

There's a caveat to using the maximum recommemded usage rate...some fragrance oils are as high as 100%. Generally speaking 3-7% is plenty for most fragrance/essential oils, though some are much less like anise at .1%/pound of oils.
