Hi, Ellen! Your red velvet cake turned out great! I like adding sour cream to cakes-it definitely helps make them fluffy and moist. I'm sure the coffee really helped to bring out the chocolate flavor, too. You used the perfect amount of food coloring--it turned out a beautiful shade of red. Thanks for sharing!

I ❤ a good looking RED velvet cake. Not brown nor maroon, but RED lol. I have been make red velvet cakes, cupcakes, red velvet dessert in a jar for 10 years. I made green velvet, blue velvet.😅😅and we used the same ingredients except for the sour cream and coffee. I can't wait to make my favor cake with the new ingredients.
