When I think about the Skins cast I can't help wonder the tv show was really entertaining, but I'm going to go out on a limb here and state the best ones were seasons 1-2 3 and 4 were decent, but as it stands every season after 2 just went down hill really slowly until season 5 and 6 which were crap, and 7 which wasn't how I pictured it would be. Perhaps they need a Skins movie to finalize it properly. And everyone should be in it from season 1-4 and their lives should interact with each other somehow instead of being solo scenarios well at least cassies scenario had 2 of them.

I think the ending to Fire was perfect. A lot of people don't understand why it ended so morbidly. But it's because it's REALISTIC- as Skins has always been. The fact is that people lose themselves to addiction, people die, etc- and Skins has always demonstrated that. With Effy's character however, she never understood why things happened. She constantly wondered why so many bad things happened to such good people. By going to jail, she finally understood why it happened. It put her at ease.

Here's the story. I've revisited Halcyon Days album today, vibing and jamming in my room,and then it gets to the one of my favorites - You My Everything. My ears did not lie to me, I didn't recognize the version. Ran to my phone to compare spotify vers of a song and the one I had on phone all these years (downloaded manually back in 2013). Turns out album version and SKINS version slightly differs from each other. You could hear voice turning down on album vers right before the first chorus and there are some new-to-me vocal parts in the end. Still shocked while I'm writing this. I like skins version more even though they're almost the same. I guess bcz it's been with me all that time and didn't really dived into Halcyon Days ever before. I also found version on the album more complete and polished (which imho doesn't work for me) and I appreciate the version presented here the most, cuz it's kinda more "dirty" if I may say so. I'm glad I've finished the investigation cuz I swear I thought I've gone crazy lol. Peace out music geeks!

I watched 1,2,3,4 & 7 seasons of Skins many years ago, but didn't watched 5, 6 because I knew, that there is no Effy (it was important to me). But then some years later, I thought that it would be good idea to watch them someday in the future. If you watched Lost, you should remember Desmond Hume, who really likes Charles Dickens and has read all his books except one - "Our Mutual Friend" which he is going to read in a moment of utmost despair. I decided to keep 5, 6 seasons for watching when I would be in a moment of utmost despair. This spring (2020) I was infected with something similar to Covid-19 (I don't know what it really was, I had no ability to make test). I felt really bad, temperature was over 40, I was scared. And I thought "maybe it is that moment?". I downloaded 5, 6 seasons, but didn't dare to watch them. Some days later I felt better, and deleted seasons. So, someday Skins will be back to my life, and will make me happier in a day which will be the most terrible that I could imagine. Now Skins to me is something that began once, and never has finished. It's something that warms my soul when all is going bad, saying "we are always close to support you".

I totally agree with you. Not sure why everyone seems to be disappointed by Pure. Pure was wonderful! We got to learn more about Cassie's past with her family and why she starved herself to send messages to her Mum.. etc. Plus the ended gave us closure with Cassie's story.
