I'd absolutely love a video from you about how to initiate a "breakup" from a partner/ if you struggled with feelings of being unable to for fear of hurting them. I really struggle with prioritizing myself and hearing you talk about choosing you own needs without shame, has been really refreshing

I didn’t get divorced, but I went through a very intense breakup a little over a year ago and I’m still trying to find my old self. It’s strange, though. I was 13 entering the relationship. I’m 20 now. There’s not really an “old self” to return to. Seeing that someone else is gaining their confidence back and finding peace within themselves is very comforting to me. It’s also quite scary how similar you are to me, haha. I love talking about incredibly deep topics, and I can talk about some trauma/dark events in my life with more ease than others but I don’t want to seem like I’m “stirring up trauma,” as you said. I love how open you are with talking about these things. There are so many people on social media and in people in my area who claim they have no friends, but they immediately make posts with groups of friends they’ve maintained for years. Like I said, I love how brutally honest you are about being alone and dedicated to being single until you can build yourself up. I suppose my main point is that we are in the same season of life and I admire you for sharing it all.❤️

After my relationship with my son’s dad, I decided to spend nearly two years alone. I understand what you mean about intentional celibacy. I spent that time truly healing. I was single on my 28th, 29th, and 30th birthdays. I discovered so much about myself during that time in my life. There’s something really empowering about not feeling like you NEED anyone, especially as a woman.

I must say, it's impressive that you've managed to get to a place in your life at 25 that took me nearly 40 years to reach (and I still have my days.) People tend to track themselves and their lives by what they do and accomplish, so much so that they leave precious little room to breathe. As a "human being," not a "human doing," I'm largely content with just existing in the moment (punctuated with flurries of activity for nuance.) I'd say, Ellie, that you live a very nuanced life, and of that I'm proud!

yes, I’ve actually been meaning to cover this in a video sometime! but basically I include four different things in my daily journaling routine: how I’m feeling that day, three things I’m grateful for, what I need to do that day (responsibilities, self care, etc), and then whatever affirmations feel right for that morning :)

Thanks for the video ellie! I'm a 26 year old girl/woman xD who is having a hard time cultivating peace with anxiety/depression. I've always been independent and pretty laid back, love being alone, but I'm really struggling with changing my mindset. Are there any daily/weekly routines you do to keep your peace, like journaling, yoga, affirmations? Are there any that you feel really help you?

this is a good question!! I’ve actually been meaning to make a video (or even a podcast-style episode) about this topic exactly, but the most grounding routines for my anxiety are daily journaling (about how I’m feeling, what I’m grateful for), daily exercise of any kind, and more recently, staying off social media in the mornings. I try to listen to uplifting podcasts or read encouraging books instead, and it keeps my mind much more clear :)

I’m in my late teens and the life you portray; at least on on your KZbin channel; is my dream life. To be able to afford a small house in the country side on my own merits with preferably a dog as company sounds perfect to me. I hope I can achieve it someday and don’t have to keeping working multiple minimum wage jobs indefinitely to make that dream a reality.

You should get a nose piercing! It would go really well with your aesthetic and you'd absolutely rock it!

Please consider ditching generalizations such as “organized religions.” No religion is comparable to Christianity and they aren’t really comparable to each other. Buddhism, Rastafarianism, Druze, Native American religions, and many others are organized religions. Thanks!

There are also many sects to Christianity too… we’re not all crazy intense fundamentalists.
