Don't know if anyone has already addressed this but, part of the logic of making Optimus with body parts that much more closely mimic human construction is the potential for providing replacement limbs for humans that can be commanded by a neural ink implant. Arms and hands seem like the place to start. Sensors will be harder but eventually doable. The knee replacement assembly has existed for years but I think Tesla can design and perfect a better one. I agree that the shoulder should be made more human like because range of motion and fluidity are more important than power and speed. Successfully replacing a human shoulder with a robotic one, IMO is much more difficult due to the linkage beyond the actual shoulder joint, but I think it can be solved and is desperately needed by many people. Someone with bad shoulders can still function by reducing range of motion as needed, but at a great cost to quality of life. This is just a "big picture" and vertical integration issue.

Seems to me that it would be fairly simple to pad the pinch points and then put clothes on the bot. That would make it more human. As for the face, i'm sure they could come up with something friendly looking.

How can Elon create next production with more than 22 degrees of hand freedom. This is 81% at best to a human hand. Maybe next generation pass Optimus 3 can be 100% or greater to do magic tricks and play the piano. This improvement would be high level. I think it will happen as technology makes it possible

Would love to know the percentage breakdown of the training that can be done with simulations vs real world data, for humanoid bots and for vehicles. The answers have enormous implications when evaluating how competition will evolve, and ultimately, capital flows and stock prices.

Gloves yes but what if we can find some heat shrink flexible gloves. Put slightly larger gloves on Optimus then insert in a low temp oven and have a flexible form fitting disposable gloves. If Optimus is going to do surgery, then sterilize using gamma radiation and do a quick zap. Harmless to the Optimus. Sterilization also good for food processing. I am sure there is materials out there that would be possible to make shrink type gloves

My hunch is that the kitchen training will be done for standardized restaurant kitchens. For example, there might be trainings for McDonald's kitchens, for Denny's kitchens and for Olive Garden kitchens. The standardized kitchens will not only have standardized layouts, but standardized appliances, utensils and food stuffs.

Can I train the Bot to be a Wedding Photographer --->. Bot has a camera on it's head so what would the final photo and video look like. Would I have a hand held device to see what Optimus is taking videos and picture taking. What about having a outside operator to control the movement during the wedding??????

… I think that in successive versions of Optimus, they will have to put small noise canceling speakers under its skin, perhaps near motors, gears, and other noise-producing surfaces, to keep the whole thing quiet. I think that the whirr of motors, etc., will be deemed as objectionable to some extent.

Most people would pay LESS for cars made by bots, not more. This is for multiple reasons. First, the quality of early Bot work will be suspect. Second, some will be opposed to not labor displacing humans. Third, most value more artisanal labor. This is actually a well-known quirk of the brain: we value things partly based on how much effort went into making them.
