Sivie, Thank you so much. I did this series because people have a tendency to only focus on the less than stellar qualities in others. Elvis accomplished more in twenty years and made more of a difference to people individually than hundreds of us will in a lifetime and I thought people should know at least a portion of it.

I am a diehard Elvis fan. My whole family was. We adored and respected this man. We felt we knew him from the first moment he heard and saw him It was like finding a lost brother. There is no question that Elvis loved the Lord with all his heart mind and soul. He was an exceptional human being. Loving, kind, caring, protective, humble, generous beyond belief, and an amazing faith in his creator. That is why I will never ever understand how a man like that could have been so loose with his morals. Why did he sleep with so many many women, before and after his marriage. HIs behaviour on sexual issues ran counter to the teachings of the Bible. That will forever remain a part of Elvis I will never get. I know he was in an industry where women serve themselves up on silver platers to men, and Elvis Good Lord was the full package. Charisma, charm, a beautiful God given voice, and looks to die for, so it was hard for him, I get it. However, when one considers his deep faith in God and that he sung from his soul when it came to gospel music , couldn't Elvis have put the brakes on all of that carry on. Couldn't he see it was going to destroy his marriage, and ultimately his happiness?.......sigh! Thank you Judy for this video, I had no idea the statistics of his record sales were so phenomenal. They are in fact staggering. I knew he was ahead of any other solo entertainer or group in the music industry, but I had no idea how great the gulf was. I'm not surprised actually because that was the magic of this amazing man. Elvis will never be forgotten. He will forever remain the greatest entertainer the world has ever had.

Andrew, I am puzzled by that myself and then I recall something one of my Sunday School teacher told us once. He was an older man, bald-headed, and a little over weight and he pointed that out as he explained to the class the dangers and temptations to men whose job included traveling. He said, “I am no catch by any means, but there are always women at hotels who readily throw themselves on men and try to seduce them anyway possible, so it is important to travel with someone to help keep you accountable to the Lord. The Memphis Mafia did not help him be accountable.

@@JudyHickscount What a terrific answer you have given Judy. It actually reminded me of something Lamar Fike had said a long time ago. It was a statement he made that was probably overlooked by many, including myself at the time .. He said travelling and being with Elvis was like ...."having a credit card in a whore house". He has also said they all got "more ass than a toilet seat". What appalling comments to make. Holding Elvis accountable was clearly counterproductive to their own agenda. These men were supposed to be his friends and helpers. How very very tragic. While there were those who admired and respected him, I can't help but wonder if Elvis ever had any true personal close friends, because he was an intrinsically lonely human being. Thanks for your response Judy, you answer was indeed sobering. Thank you too for these videos that you produce. They are so well made and beautifully put together. They reveal the heart and soul of this exceptional man that the whole world just called...... Elvis. They are indeed a labour of love.

Sue Gower Good Morning Sue, I am pleased that you watched my video; however, I must make something very clear. Elvis was a wonderful singer with a God given voice, but that’s all. He wasn’t Jesus, nor was he a god. If you have watched any of the other videos in this series, the first one contains Elvis quotes. One of his most famous quotes was in response to fans calling him “the king.” That response was, “Please don’t refer to me as the king. I am just a singer. Jesus Christ is the ONLY King!”

gina lingenfelter ---Musicologist study music in a historical, critical, or scientific context. The majority of Musicologists are employed by institutes of higher education, where they conduct research, publish papers, and teach college-level classes. There are four branches of the study of music. They are ethnomusicology, music history, music theory, and systematic musicology. They also often work on a freelance basis. These individuals are hired to provide assistance to record labels, music publishers, film and television production companies, and media advertising agencies to name a few. gina lingenfelter --Gina it is discerning not to believe everything published. Fake news is not a new thing. I know that personally because my husband was in the Vietnam war and a photograph of him holding a wounded Marine on a hill in Vietnam was on the front page of national newspapers. I recognized him and went to the Charlotte paper to view the original. They gave me a copy and later sent a reporter out to write a story. When it was published only between 1/4 t0 1/3 of what was written was whaat I said. The remaining article was an elaborate story of their own making. Elvis was no exception to “creative reporting.” That is why all my documentaries contain the comments of reputable people and where possible has documented in several sources. Elvis was an amazing man, not a perfect one because there was only one perfect man and that was the Man Jesus Christ. Therefore, I try to support the information in my documentaries with several sources.

I am sorry Gussy but his family gets nothing from KZbin. In fact, the only thing they make money from is Graceland. Elvis Presley Enterprises is not owned by them and Sony gets all the monies from his music. I can't say why others upload things about Elvis, but I compiled this documentary because people should know that he made more contributions to mankind, then and now than hundreds of us will do in our lifetime. He invested his time and money into the lives of others. That kind of example deserves to be remembered and not forgotten.
