This was recorded in the MGM Soundstage in Hollywood, CA on July 29, 1970. There is no film footage of THIS version Elvis is having fun with that I could find. However on August 4, 1970 at the Las Vegas Convention Center during a rehearsal session Elvis WAS filmed yodeling with his back up singers The Sweet Inspirations, link to video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/on2XlYyMm550ntksi=RCt5DO0DBjdk52VA So this one that you reacted to Seph is new to me. I have never heard THIS version. And fun fact: "The Cattle Call" is a for real song that was released around the same time Elvis was born and since he admitted that around that time his first imtroduction to music was what was playing on the radio which was by and large American country music. (Elvis admitted this during his 1970 Houston interview). So Elvis most likely remembered "The Cattle Call" song from his boyhood. Song Info Below: The Cattle Call" is a song written and recorded in 1934 by American songwriter and musician Tex Owens. The melody was adapted from Bruno Rudzinksi's 1928 recording "Pawel Walc". It later became a signature song for Eddy Arnold. Members of the Western Writers of America chose it as one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time. Owens wrote the song in Kansas City while watching the snow fall. "Watching the snow, my sympathy went out to cattle everywhere, and I just wished I could call them all around me and break some corn over a wagon wheel and feed them. That's when the words 'cattle call' came to my mind. I picked up my guitar, and in thirty minutes I had wrote the music and four verses to the song," he said. His August 28, 1934 recording was among the first for the newly formed Decca Record Company. He recorded it again in 1936. And there you have it Seph & everyone! SHORT BUT SWEET REACTION SEPH 🌹🍫🌹🍫🌹🍫🌹🍫🌹🍫🌹🍫 I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH 😊 THANK YOU FOR SHARING 💐 Hey Seph's Dad 👋 Hope you both are having a relaxing weekend & TCB ⚡ & TLC ❤& peace ✌& blessings 🙏 to you & yours & to one & all here as well 💕

Cool Elvis having fun in the studio as usual. He could yodel too! Awesome man, just being himself. I like that short jingle. 🤔🎶 you're so funny Seph! 😂

this whole segment was in the rehearsal tape from "Elvis in the Studio" (1970) he also could yodel till the cows come home. He was hilarious in rehearsal, please check at least one out. You won't be sorry, that was the real Elvis, the playful not serious self effacing man, who loved to laugh, and he made everybody around him laugh too. Also, "Elvis "Stranger in the Crowd" rehearsal 1970. " Elvis Presley Don't rehearsal) 1970 all were in the same year. "Elvis backstage at the Hilton". so much you are missing. Thanks

That actually came from a rehearsal where elvis felt very nostalgic and went back and did songs he hadn't done in over a decade. He did Fool such as i. Baby let's play house. Don't. It's now or never . I was the one . Such a night He just had fun going back to his early hits and still sounded amazing vocally

Elvis was the best joker ever. He really could yodel though, but never did it in a recording.

Eddie Arnold’s “Cattle Call” was a HUGE hit everywhere. But it was played at EVERY Rodeo in Texas from the mid 50s to the mid 80s. Ubiquitous with Rodeos in most states! And there were thousands of rodeos yearly. It was everywhere. So much that it became a joke.

I was happy to see the title Seph, but this track is way too short. The 1970 rehearsal video of "Cattle Call" is a better experience of watching Elvis having fun & listening to him yodel. yodel-ay-ee-oooo 😅😅

I forgot you were not doing live yet, but why don't you skip the recorded versions of live events? There are so many recordings of live events and the live events are so much better to watch and it wouldn't hurt to skip the recorded versions entirely and get into the live events after you've done all the studio recordings. Otherwise you're going to be listening to a ton of stuff twice. I hope that makes sense. Just a suggestion. I know it's not easy figuring all this out.

Current game plan:: I'm going to carry on listening to all his songs from 1970 to 1977 without hearing any repeats, im also attempting to hear the very first time he sung them songs too. So once i hit 1977 im going to start watching/listening to all his live performances and im going to be taking Elvis Requests from people too. Im doing it this way so i don't listen to repeats like "hounddog" 50+ before i reach 1977. And also I've always favored listening to the first time he sung these songs "So i can see how they started" this is good from a reaction standpoint because if i listened to all the "Best" versions of each of his songs *first* then in the future went back and listened to the first time he sung them i might feel underwhelmed? And people would hate me for criticising the song when it wasn't intentional its just because i heard an amazing live version of it already ya know? I hope this made sense 😅 im so bad at writing 😂

@@SephPlaysYou're not bad at writing. You've said all this before. I only suggested what I did because the snippet you just listened to is exactly the same as the live performance but without the visual.. Thought it would save you from listening twice to the exact same thing. You do as you like though. Your channel. Love your reactions so I'll keep on listening because I really don't mind listening to the same thing by Elvis over and over. ❤❤
