also i know its a big ask considering the amount of R&D that it would require but you guys should see if it would be market viable for yoy to make a hdmi out VRx module like the avatar module , it would lower the latency on the link and just be a better system that FPV plots would prefer over the phone app method you guys are currently using
@zoey101dogwablog4 ай бұрын
The team over at OpenIPC is already working on this and has a few prototypes in testing, more to come soon. The phone app is ONE of many ways to view the stream (especially with lower latency than with using a phone)

@@zoey101dogwablog i know , i have my own radxa DIY VRx module for my goggles , i asked mario and he said they put the VRx module on hold while they work on their own goggles which is why i wanted to plead my case to some manufactures , doubly so since everyone is running into the stuttering - which some believe to be because the radxa simply isnt powerful enough to record and stream the video signal

the video receiver in digital FPV systems is a transceiver that transmits just as much as the video transmitter. I want the video receiver to not transmit anything. is that possible?

Interesting project. I wonder if there is any way to just get the VRX to output HDMI. This would be huge for goggles, LCD screens, TV's and other types of video devices

Definitely why we are calling it Alpha. OpenIPC needs some time to become more user friendly.
@biglizardmedia9 сағат бұрын
@@EMAXUSA No shit. As it is now, I'd rather shove a rusty nail down where the sun don't shine. This level of "download this, and this, and plug it here and have an extra controller board, and if you have apple you are just screwed, etc etc" is not user friendly AT ALL. Needs to be at least to DJI level where it's one unit I put in the drone, put on some goggles and just turn it all on. Needing OTG cables and a USB power source and an Android phone and this janky module that you don't know what to do with for mounting all looks like a massive pain in the ass

This is...... the dumbest shit I have seen in FPV in a long time. This is WAY to involved for day to day use. Is it neat? Sure. Is it a neat idea for an open source system? Sure. But the problems you run into are the same that ELRS has. When it's open source, you need a very specific dedicated team to building it who basically make no money doing it and then everyone using it gatekeeps and the community sours on them. That's just the first problem. There is a reason I went to Ghost after the ELRS Discord pissed me off enough. Having to keep a separate dongle for camera setting? Bleh. No goggle support? Bleh. Even Walksnail is more user friendly than this. And three different downloads and complicated and questionable applications you need? Until this system can be installed easy, has goggles you can just turn on and take your phone out of the whole process, and the app for updating is just one single app not dependent on other bullshit 3rd party software this will never beat out DJI. Is it expensive? Sure, but my O4 and my G3 are the BEST flight experience I have had since being around since 2016.
