Graham is a genius! He is so gifted at making his guests feel so comfortable that they share happily, and he is super happy to let them shine. We love him over here. Alan Carrs chatty man was also amazing.

Guys , guys, guys, you have to watch the WHOLE episode of this show with guests Matt Damon, Bill Murray & Hugh Bonneville. Without doubt one of the best Graham Norton Shows is all & is hilarious from start to finish. Matt said it was the best talk show he’d ever been on.

Love the audience interaction with these and how close the audience is - just a few steps away, not so much 'celebrities on a stage' as elsewhere.

Ive been twice to the graham norton show - 1st time it was A special with Robin Williams and the 2nd times was Joan collins and Michale Buble and some of the monty python team .It's recorded in the south bank TV centre in London (LWT Building ) ) the tickets were free. There is lots you don't see on TV. ( You can even see me in the audience on the TV )

Unlike a lot of US talkshows Graham does not has the need to have "segments" where he wants to be "funny" with overly scripted "jokes" and merely sets up his guests to be funny. Having multiple guests at the same time makes it so that they wish to outshine and out "star" each other as well. Add to that the alcohol they serve and they become very talkative and often say a lot more then they would in any other talkshow.
@tensemurm59242 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's really about outshining eachother. It just means that they can have actual conversations and relax a little, instead of doing a scripted or intense interview.

i love watching the Graham Norton show, i think the dynamic of having celebrities interacting with each other in what is more of a chat than an interview makes it much more relatable. That being said, i cant stand it when Will Smith or Jaden are on it, theyre too over the top for me if im honest.

13:45 Fun fact: When your eyes go red in the swimming pool, it's not because of the chlorine. It's because of chemicals that result from piss and chlorine reacting together. So, if your eyes go red in the pool, you've been swimming in piss.
@Trilingualeks2 жыл бұрын
That may be true, but we had a pool in our old house, and I was in charge of keeping the chlorine and bromine levels balanced - I can assure you, in a freshly filled pool, with a perfect balance of chemicals, my eyes still burned and I was the first one in. The chemical disbalance due to urine will undoubtedly cause an irritation, but even in a clean pool you'll still react.

I'm pretty sure it has been going for a lot longer than 2009, because I have not had a TV since 2007, and I remember it being on TV. I don't know if 2009 is the current format or something, but I would think it's possibly been going another 10 years on that, I am sure it was on at a house I lived in until about 1999, but I think maybe it switched from channel 4 to BBC, that could be where 09 comes from, anyone know?

Graham is very good at getting his guests to relax and open up about some quite personal things. Unlike on certain shows where the host tries to be the centre of attention. Chris Pratt did an extremely good impression of a British accent on one episode. Unlike Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins 🙂

Graham Norton had a chat show before 09 he began on I think Channel 4 with So Graham Norton, we would call it a chat show not panel, that's more like Would I Lie To You, or Have I Got News For You, which has been running for about 30 years. Have a look at earlier Graham Norton, which I think ran every night for a few weeks, especially as you like music Dame Shirley Bassey, she might have sold around 200 million records and sold out concerts worldwide and still working at 85 but has a great sense of humour, like many from the same generation take the work seriously not themselves, much like her friend and male counterpart Sir Tom Jones again still working at 82 oldest person to have a number one album around his 80th birthday, and both sound much the same as when they started, must be something too do with the Welsh water 😁 neither actually need microphones

People talk about The Rock like he's huge he's 260lb and only 6'1" - 6'2". His wrestling height was 6'7" now he's listed as 6'5" he claims he's 6'4" but in reality he's smaller. Hugely muscular obviously but not a gaint. I'm 6' tall 240lbs and basically average because I'm not a movie star
@rajeebdas17246 ай бұрын
You're wrong on multiple levels there lol. His wrestling billed height in WWE was 6'4" always. I've watched him since I was a kid. He's 6'3" and walks around at about 265 pounds .. That's a big guy anywhere. Jason Momoa is a hair taller but he's way lighter.. And he looks huge.

✨💖✨Yes, I would also love to be on the Graham Norton Show. I love watching with you guys. And, I still adore Will Smith. We all really, really screw up sometimes, but that incident cannot, should not define his years of some amazing work. And when I expected my son to support me when I said Will Smith was wrong to bitch-slap Chris Rock, my son said he would have slapped Chris Rock if he’d said something about me. Huh. That’s not justification, but it is reality.

I completely agree. The only thing that raises a lot of questions for me is Will has always had an incredible sense of humor. It makes me wonder what had been said at home beforehand? Was she constantly depressed & her confidence low? Maybe. I love Jada but from everything I've seen of her personality, she's the boss. Makes me wonder, is she possibly a controlling, constantly nagging person & he not only stood up for his woman but took out frustrations while doing it? Just random thoughts I've had cause it seems so out of character.

I have been a Graham Nortan fan for years. Way before most Americans had heard of him. His talk show just ruined American talk shows for me. They are so insipid and you just feel the hosts tip toeing around the interviews because we are so afraid of offending someone in this country. What I like about Graham Norton is he is good at letting his guests do the entertaining. I love that the UK is not so hung up on words. There is no bleeping. I think the American entertainers are so much more relaxed that they tend to open up more than they do with American interviewers. Some of the funniest moments have happened on this show. Check out the one where Will Smith brought DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribeiro on the show to do the Fresh Prince theme song and some Tom Jones music. They are such fans in England that the audience knew every word.

Yeah, the BBC (and other channels I presume) have a thing called a 'watershed' time (I think it's 9pm?). Up to that time, it's family friendly language, but past that, it's a free for all 😄.

My favorite part of this clip is Tom and Jake at the end. It’s so funny that Tom is a notorious spoiler so he’s contractually now not allowed to be on shows by himself until a certain point, depending on movie release date or something like that. They even lie to him about scripts because he’s no good at keeping secrets.
