This conversation had an unexpected lump in my throat the whole video, as I tried to hold back the tears. Being a highly sensitive person & feeling so misunderstood I try hard to run away from my feelings. Yet still I couldn’t resist the emotion, love, & food for thought with this video. Thank you so much for this ❤️

This is my 3rd time listening to this episode. I love the language she uses, her spirit/presence, and the wisdom she shares. Each time I listen back something different stands out to me. Thank you, Devi, for allowing her to speak freely and express, and thank you, Lalah, for sharing the things you've learned on this earth journey so far with us.

Beautiful conversation. So nice to find other women of color who are highly sensitive. I’ve been in a period of rest for the last 5 years leaning into my sensitivity and learning about who I am while traveling the world. I’ve learned how to regulate my nervous system and how to find peace within myself. Now at 46 I can turn up the pace a bit and expand my life choices and move to countries where I have more opportunities to meet people that fit into my life.

Hello there. Do you mind me asking how long have you known about you being an empath and how do you manage (for lack of a better term) it? Thank you in advance 😊

@@sherabellasI would say I started to understand what an empath was maybe 3 years or so ago. How do I manage? I’ve learned and continue to learn how to have a strong sense of self. I have boundaries. I can communicate what I want, what is acceptable, and what is not. I treat myself with love and respect and allow the world to follow suit. Being an empath doesn’t mean you take abuse. It means you understand that you function in a softer way than others. And when you know who you are, you move according to your rules.

This was amazing. Lalah got me through some tough times when I read her book, I still pick it up on a bad day. These intentional words she left us with "yes to grace" yes to courage" powerful for me during this healing journey I am on. And just the thought of " how deeper to go" when I'm healing do I surrender or keep going. Just wow. Powerful thought. Thank you ladies 🫶🏾💫🌻 "namaste"

I’ve listened to this interview 4 times now…I sat down this week and asked for healing messages that I desperately need…so I don’t keep losing ppl and wondering why. This has literally changed the way I think about myself in relation to others. I always wanted to try to fix myself bc I was the messed up one…and I feel like I never actually understood the reality of “neuro-divergent.” Her explanations really helped put it into plain language. And I am 50. I honestly never thought I would understand myself like I do now. And hopefully this is just the beginning. Thank you sooo much for this.

You have to be so committed to fiercely edited yourself, your life, your process at all times. And surrendering, detaching, even sometimes holding on to the friendships, the relationships, the job, the “this” the “that”, when you know there is a call to stop, you know there is a call to let something end, but you don’t, at that point you’re creating your reality. You’re co-creating the pain in your life, you’re co-creating the distress in your life, and it’s all just a ripple effect. It has an effect on everything. It’s not as simple as trying to be stoic and saying, “I’ll endure”. “I’ll endure and that makes me righteous”. It’s like, you’re also killing your body. Women and men, especially women of color, die a lot faster of a wide spectrum of diseases that don’t typically happen to other people and if you look into the foundation of that person, a lot of times it’s not creating freedom when you’re called to, for yourself. -Devi Brown
