EMDR Playlist: • EMDR Audio + Visual ○

Want more--- listen to your favorite melancolic music and whenever you fell a strong emotion, its part negative. That you want to delete. Do a 30 second EMDR session on it while listening. You can kill clusters of negative emotions that way. Work yourself through hundred of songs and you emotional (trauma) garbage attached to the songs is gone! Thank me later :) This tipp is worth 10000s. PS: When you feel nothing for the song, and just enjoy the musik, then you have done one song emotional killing.

@@whitelily3474 Basically, you think of the memory and the images, sensations, and negative belief that it taught you. You want to figure out the initial SUD (subjective unit of distress 0-10) and your replacement belief before processing. Then, you start processing with the negative belief in mind to desensitize. Go with the horror basically, focusing on bodily sensations in which emotions are stuck. You have to kind of focus on a lot at one time to start (memory, body sensations, and negative core belief). Do short sets and say what you noticed out loud to yourself each time between a set, (a set is about 10-20 seconds ish), until the memory changes into something which is less distressing and your SUD goes down. If you get outside of the memory, simply notice and return to the original memory where you left off. If you get stuck, target the "worst part" or check in with your SUD and keep going. Then once the SUD goes down, you continue processing with the positive belief in mind. But of course do this with the addendum that you should find your own EMDR therapist for full safety!!!

absolutely not no. It's important you don't let yourself become emotionally flooded because that will be taking one step forward and two steps back. In other words: if the emotions start to become intense, take a break, mind yourself, do whatever you've learned to do to calm yourself. E.g. yoga, deep breath out, listen to favorite song, telephone a friend or a crisis line, play a mind-numbing game like candy crush, dance, sing, stim, whatever it is for you that calms you down as long as it's not harmful. It's a marathon not a sprint, go easy on yourself.

It is not supposed to be relaxing. Its intention is to confuse your mind about the traumatic event of your life so you do not get too emotional when remembering it.
@nellieshoals
@nellieshoals 4 жыл бұрын
@@ninels3963 No, it's meant to help you gain clarity and make connections. Quite the opposite of aiming for confusion... If you are getting confused that's when you likely need the help of a therapist, or at least do shorter sets and say what you are noticing out loud after a set (a set being like 10-15 passes)
