As a fan of both artists and hiphop in general i thoroughly enjoyed both tracks. Em def won the battle since killshot was more cutthroat, but people should really give MGK his credit. He was the only one with the balls to respond and gave us a show. In the end it was always gonna be a losing battle for mgk. If he doesnt give Em his credit people are gonna be like "how dare you come at Em like that, he the goat". And when he aknowledges Ems the goat then people be like "dont give him credit, its a diss". He would never have been able to please everyone. As for rap devil being mgk at his best, people really sell him short, just listen to his general admission album, its pretty much a classic imho. And mgk did NOT have a ghost writer for rap devil, that was the producer, cuz producers get writing credits and ignorant stans just ran with that misinformation. Like the only thing that annoyed me about killshot is when Em called him a mumble rapper, which was far from bein the case but then mgk releases binge, which is his worst project to date.
@jennag32265 жыл бұрын
Dude, nobody woulda said "how dare you come at em like that, he the goat" if mgk had not called him the goat on a diss track. Not a single person would've said that. You simply just don't call someone the greatest rapper alive on a goddamn diss track. And mgk gets no props from me just bc he came back at Em. First of all, mgk started it so he better come back. Second of all, it was zero risk for mgk to respond bc either way he gets exposure. It literally took no bravery on mgk's part at all. As far as Em calling him a mumble rapper, y'all are taking that too literally. Em makes it clear right in killshot why he calls him that but apparently that went straight over your head. Mgk has had ems dick in his mouth metaphorically speaking in some way shape or form since he started rapping, either praising him or slandering him or doing both at the same time ( rap devil ). It's kinda hard not to mumble with a dick stuffed down your throat. "I'm sick of your mumble rap mouth need to get the cock up out it before we can even talk about it" "So just leave my dick in your mouth and keep my daughter out it"
@walterwaterz38725 жыл бұрын

@@jennag3226 Bro i dunno how you missed all the stans talking mad shit about mgk. Em fans like to talk about how they like Em because he's so insanely lyrical, yet they laugh at mgk's weird beard line even tho that was a reference to old Em lines from a track. Stans have no consistency, they just ride for Em no matter what, even if they are hella hypocritical. And i'm a big Em fan, but this beef really made me look differently at his fanbase, its quite toxic. If you think this was no risk for mgk just because his career isnt that big you're dead wrong. Exposure doesnt translate into a good career or album sales, just look at a bunch of these current "rappers" that are basically social media entertainers. Or look at how it didnt do anything for his binge EP sales. His career could have been "ended" and thats also what Stans claim he did. When i saw all the hate he was getting after Rap devil, i really started to think about if this beef would even help him much, considering he probs has a lot of overlapping fans with Em. The rap devil upload on mgk's channel got a lot of dislikes really quickly, probably of mgk fans that didnt like that he dissed Em. Your "mumble rapper" explanation is only right for the 2nd time he used "mumble rapper" in the killshot track, while he was making a play on rap devils hook, which was only because of the "talk about it" that your explanation is right because you can't talk with dick in your mouth and would be mumbling. But even if he would use it solely as an insult in the 1st time as you're implying, thats still corny.
@jennag32265 жыл бұрын
@@DarkVoidTG Of course people are going to talk shit. It's a beef. Thats how it goes but nobody woulda said anything remotely close to "well wtf mgk, you didn't call em the goat 3 times in a diss track so therefore you lost." Never in a million years would anyone say anything about mgk not complimenting Eminem in a diss track and Idk how you miss mgk fans talking shit about Eminem as well. They laugh at the beards weird line bc it's not a reference to any Eminem song. It's something mgk picked off of social media where it was already a popular phrase so even if it was a reference it wasn't one he came up with on his own and it was horribly done and executed incorrectly. He even tells him to shave it which defeats the purpose of what y'all like to say is the meaning of it. On top of all that, he uses it in the wrong context and every single other reference to an Em track was obvious so why make one single reference so ambiguous? Plus, it was just corny reference or not. It was laughable. I mean, arguably the greatest rapper of all time and thats your opening line to him? Stop it. His fan base isn't toxic. It's loyal and in this case, it's right. And it wasn't any risk for mgk. At all. Or so he thought anyway. It took ZERO balls to come back at Eminem bc his career wasn't where he wanted it to be and he thought by clout chasing Eminem then it would give him much needed exposure. Which is exactly why he put rap devil on world star and not his own channel to begin with and it's why he put ems name in the title. It's really that simple. Everything that has happened to mgk since killshot dropped is his own damn fault. He's the one that propelled himself into infamy and filled his fan base with Eminem haters. He's the one that dropped binge. He's the one that continues to make himself look like he needs to keep his name attached to ems in order to survive in hip hop. He's the one selling rap devil merch and performing rap devil at every concert. He's the one that threw a tantrum and destroyed a girls personal property just bc someone else said ems name in his presence. He's the one that went on the breakfast club and lied about many things just like he lied in rap devil many times. What I said about the mumble rap thing applies to both the times Eminem said it. The bars I gave you are Eminem explaining exactly why he called him that earlier in the track. When Em says it the first time, he's talking about the fact that mgk can go ahead and fuck Kim but the only way for him to accomplish that is for mgk to pretend to be Eminem even more than he already does ( in other words, having ems dick in his mouth at all times ) and em will even help him achieve that by giving him his own clothing but in the end he'll have to know that he's not only in ems shadow in hip hop but also in that area as well. I'm sorry that it went over your head.
@todortodorov13795 жыл бұрын
I agree with most of the things you said.After the Kamikaze album and the both diss tracks I felt good because Hip-Hop went at a little bit better place . Even tho Em won with the Killsot song, which has much things to think about in the lyrics and the actual response which was, people have to give MGK a credit for sure. As an Eminem fan I can say Rap Devil as a diss track was clever and as an actual song, it sounds cool and catchy. But on the other hand it's quite sad. Just think for a minute- he used to be a "Stan" fan and he used to praise him until that thing with twitter in 2012, then the ban from Shade 45 and etc. The same guy, who was inspired from Eminem to become a rapper, became one of his main rivals in 2018. This shows how the little things can change the way how you feel and think about someone. That also shows that "a big fan that appreciates what he and the others are doing" and "Stan who doesn't admire the other artists" are different things. I'm not talking about Eminem especially. Ariana Grande or Justin Bieber or other big musical name are big examples for, how can I say, fan and stan separations.

I mean, you obviously realize that yela is signed to SHADY RECORDS until this album is released and therefore since it's under SHADY RECORDS Eminem actually holds veto power over it since he's paying for the fucking thing but you still couldn't put 2 and 2 together over that. I guess it makes sense to you that the dude that's supposedly blackballing mgk is just gonna allow him on his signed artists album huh? Oh but wait, that kinda defeats the entire purpose of a blackball doesn't it? Ya fucking short bus riding retarded reject. Em doesn't care enough about mgk to care about him having a verse on yelas album under SHADY RECORDS. Idk man, all the points that mgk brought up, besides like the very low hanging ones, em just swerved around. I also feel like mgk had more quotables. However, even if he didn't ems just seemed like less solid (argument wise). And the whole thing were mgk complements thing, it actually had more impact for me because it showed he wasn't doing this out of hatred and showed that em really had turned into the man waving his fist in the air (a complete 180 from his self and how he portrayed on literally every other album before that one.

Lol. Em swerved around absolutely nothing. He even addressed the whole blackball ish and shot it down with just one bar. That's all it took. Mgk had nothing solid. It was pretty much all just lies and misrepresentations. And a whole lot of contradictions. I mean, how did he manage to fuck up both meanings of one of the few doubles he had? And what quotables? These dudes couldn't even remember the name of the track for a good second. And the whole thing where mgk compliments showed mgk wasn't doing it outta hatred? It was nothing but outta hatred since mgk dissed first. Mgk spent years trying to get Em to notice him and failed. So he started dissing him. Idc what reason is behind it, you don't call someone the greatest rapper alive 3 times on a diss track. Em flipped every bar mgk had and bitch slapped him with them and dissed him on top of that while maintaining a complex rhyme scheme while also sonning him and stanning him. Mgk lost. Badly. Waving his fist in the air? For shooting back at people that talked shit about him first? What are you smoking? Em didn't diss mgk over that tweet. He dissed him bc mgk sent shots at em on his LA Leakers freestyle and on twitter and on his no reasons verse and bc mgk was STILL using Hailies name in interviews. How you don't understand that after hearing not alike and killshot amazes me. There wasn't a single thing Eminem didn't address. Not one.

@@jennag3226 he literally just said "no I didn't" that was his master bar. Second I didn't know jewd and justin were the reps for everyone. And how'd he fuck up both doubles? And idc that you don't care, so that arguments going nowhere. It seems to me that everyone who likes killshot over rapdevil has to ignore the picture of a rapper, who is now entering the twilight of his career and skill, who has obvious problems with the personal and business mixing and can only seem to lift people up when it's in a negative light. Who is such a slave to his legacy, constantly fighting with writers block and medocracy that he has to explain it every other album, or like how joe said, "I'm tired of you telling me why you trash." Peeps giving MGK credit for going at Eminem is similar to giving credit to Danny Garcia for going at Errol Spence Jr. Yeah Danny protected himself all rounds, but didn't do much. Same thing with MGK. Trying to give props for going at Em, but coming off corny.

I don’t think Killshot is Eminem’s best this record but it was dope, I liked it. But Just like they said all Eminem did was tear MGK’s diss record about him apart. If you go back and look at the history of how Eminem beefs you’ll notice a pattern End it almost seems like whether it’s Ja or Everlast or Benzino , it’s almost like the first song he is trying to beat them and make them think they have a chance and he wants them to give him their absolute best.... so when it’s time for Eminem to come back with his second disc record against his enemies, those are the more lethal ones. That’s when he starts dissecting your career and pointed out ever so beautifully all of your flaws in by the end of the song you think whoever he’s dissing is the biggest fraud in the music industry. MGK’s wasn’t bad at all. I was surprised it was that good but he lost that shit to Em.

@125henni5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if I am in the minority with that. I've seen plenty of comments and opinions of why MGK won. For me it really comes down to expectations I belive. For one I wasnt expecting MGK to respond. But once he did I really thought MGK did his thing on that. However I was totally expecting Em to come back with some shit that would put MGK out of his missery. But tbh Killshot to me was kind of wack. Ya the bars was nice cuz Em is a rappaty rap dude, but besides that I felt Killshot was filled with Em finding different ways to say the same 3 things over and over in the song. And when i think of an Eminem diss track I think of him going for someones throat. This is a man who dissed his own mother countless times, said Christina was out here giving STDs, saying what he wanted about gays, etc. Hell and lets not forget "The Warning." That was one of the coldest diss tracks i feel like I've ever heard. So with that being said using "The Warning" as the example and with all the personal ammo he could have used against MGK, and Ems subject matter of choice was to talk about how much more successful he is over MGK? Like naw "KIllshot" wasn't where it was at. So that's why MGK won the battle for me.
@jennag32265 жыл бұрын
@@125henni You are definitely in the minority with that opinion. You may see several comments saying mgk won but you can't deny there are many more saying em won. Just look at the vids of each on their channels. Rap devil hovers around a 50% approval rating while killshot has around a 97% approval rating. And em went for the topics he did based on the topics mgk came with. He flipped every single bar mgk had and bitch slapped him with them and dissed him on top of that while maintaining a complex rhyme scheme while also sonning him and stanning him. Mgk is the one that opened the doors for Em to talk about his success when he attempted to say he is a younger Eminem so of course Em is going to point out that mgk has never reached Ems status no matter what point in their careers you look at. Em made it quite clear that he didn't need to go for mgk's throat to beat him down. Thats how little mgk means to him. But if you think telling the guy who admits worships you that you cant stand his ass or that you had gave him a career just so you could destroy it or telling him hed suck a dick just to be you for ONE Single second isn't going for a throat then you're crazy. And rap devil wasn't good. His disses consisted of you're old, you're ugly, you're short. Playground bullshit. Not a single fact. Killshot had actual facts. Mgk contradicted his own bars several times with his own bars all within the same track. He somehow managed to fuck up both meanings of one of the few doubles he had. Em pointed one out himself in killshot but you somehow still manage to miss that fact. On top of that, it was filled with a bunch of lies and misrepresentations. Like, how did em blackball mgk but mgk was all up on hot97 and power 106 etc doing interviews and getting airplay and dropping freestyles on LA Leakers that sneak diss Eminem. How was he releasing music while signed to interscope when Eminem makes interscope? How was he on features with techn9ne when Eminem is techs favorite rapper and they're good friends and em gave him a verse for free? How did mgk end up on yelas album when yelawolf is signed to SHADY RECORDS? And why would em even diss mgk at all knowing full well that it would put shine on him if he was blackballing him? Kinda defeats the entire purpose of a blackball doesn't it? Plus, mgk sat in his breakfast club interview and straight lied about his little love tweets to Em not going past 2010 when they go at least all the way into 2013. He lied bc he didn't want to have to explain why he was still tweeting how much he loves the dude that was supposedly blackballing him during the time mgk now claims em started blackballing him. "You're SOBER and bored..." Then "Go back to recovery" First of all, he tried to diss him on the fact he's sober which is lame af. Second of all, he just said hes aware em is sober so why tf is he telling him to go back to rehab? "Your last 4 albums were bad..." Then "Go back to recovery" Welp, recovery falls within that last 4 album range so make up your retarded mind mgk. There's plenty more like that in rap devil as well. I could point out so much more. Rap devil dissed em about being "old" about 8 damn times and called him the goat 3 or 4 times. There's no doubt that Eminem bodied mgk and did so without having to go all out on him. Plus, mgk gave up. Em is from battle rap. You don't go all the way in with one shot. Having said that, Rap Devil wasn't even better than Not Alike. Also, mgk responding wasn't a brave thing for him to do bc no matter whether he won or lost it gave him exposure. There was literally no risk in it at all for him and you just handed out a participation trophy to him for that. Hell nah. Killshot is much harder than you seem to think it is and it had actual battle bars while rap devil had a bunch of elementary school bars that even I coulda written. Anyone saying mgk won isn't really paying attention to the actual bars in each for one reason or another. "Killshot with the machine gun I'm slim shady with it" CHARLIE CLIPS
