Being fair. Jonathan is the only Joestar to have beaten Dio without the Stand hijinks. It was pure brains and brawns in their final battle. I always thought johnathans stand was just tusk with a hamon variant, if Diego from another universe had a variant of the world it all makes sense. Saying all hamon users have the same stand is just unimaginative and doesn’t fit JoJo. Dio did showcase a stand similair to hermit but it’s very possible that he could not access its full power like Johnathan would have been able to and developed it further.
