That hummingbird almost certainly died. Their metabolism is so fast they can starve to death in a matter of hours, and have to go into a coma every night to sleep without starving. 30:55 The ivory trade is completely illegal in pretty much any country that has a functioning government. With one major exception- if the ivory is over 100 years old, it's considered antique and is legal. I know because I volunteer with a local creative reuse (like a thrift store but for art supplies, fabric, school supplies, and antiques) and we got a solid ivory hand mirror donated. We were almost certain that it was antique because the mirror's surface had dark spots (this only happens with silver mirrors when they get old; modern aluminium ones don't do this without the application of acid) and because of the motifs used in the carvings, but we immediatly reported it to the local authorites anyways. They tested it in the lab using radiocarbon dating to see what year the animal it came from had been killed. They came back with "1820s to 1860s" and we were given it back, along with a lab certificate showing it was genuinely antique, and a thanks from the lab for reporting just in case. We then could legally sell it through our online store, and it was bought within an hour of its posting (for like $700 too. We used that money to host free art workshops for underprivileged kids in the community).

17:40 I found where this 'poem' came from! They appear to be from a 2022 Chinese blog post called: 15句让人惊艳的英文短句,中文译文更是美炸了 Google translated as: 15 amazing English phrases, the Chinese translations are even more beautiful! The 8 phrases that appear here are: 1. Lost long forever found 2. Sometimes ever, sometimes never 3. Kill time, or kiss time 4. I want my tears back now 5. You are not afraid of a thousand miles 6. Able was I ere I saw Elba 7. For every heart, you're the beat 8. A wise man does not fall in love The other 7 for the curious: 9. Say love is too early, like it 10. I'll try anything once 11. Sometimes ever, sometimes never (again, but with a different Chinese sentence; Google translated it as 'Sometimes we meet, but sometimes we never') 12. Like is a choice Love is not for you 13. Love goes with the wind, but never goes away 14. All or nothing 15. Rumors stop with the wise
@Cuddly-Cactus2 ай бұрын
@Meximagician Amazing! And very cool of you to provide this interesting information indeed! And allow me to add one more tidbit about the information you so kindly complied here for all of us... Fun Fact - #6: Able was I ere I saw Elba Is in fact a palindrome, which is a phrase or sentence that reads the same backwards and forwards. And it's my personal favorite on this list since I am both dyslexic and completely obsessed with palindromes and have been since I first learned how to read and write. (So basically, I'm like an idiot savant, in that I read and write things backwards. However, fortunately for me, my level of dyslexia is clearly mild.) So as soon as I read that particular sentence my Rain Man-esque brain clocked it as a palindrome, and I was sitting here thinking, "Oh cool! A new palindrome to add to my collection!" Yes, I do indeed have a laundry list of palindromes that I have both created and collected over the years. And thus here's a few highlights from my curated collection: Do geese see God? Eva! Can I stab bats in a cave?! A santa lived as a devil at NASA Satan Oscillate My Metallic Sonatas Mr. Owl ate my metal worm Rats live on no evil star No sir, away, a papaya war is on! Hope you enjoy these as much as I do! ❤️🌵

Cry rooms should be mandatory in pretty much every public space, and it’s both for the sanity of already stressed out adults but because babies often cry due to overstimulation caused by public spaces, especially noise
@Cuddly-Cactus2 ай бұрын
@larunaaxthemischievous9762 Honestly, I don't think you realize it but you just made the case for cry rooms to be nonexistent. And I personally would love that if any establishment wants to ban people from bringing babies and small children into places like theaters and cinemas (and even upscale restaurants) then they should be able to enact such a policy if they wish to do so. (And yes, I do realize that businesses have the right to refuse services to anyone, however it's unfortunately been mostly negative since places that tend to act on that policy are doing so sheerly out of hatred, so yes, that should definitely not be allowed. Like we have non-discrimition laws for that very reason. But I digress.) And I mean, it's completely selfish and rude behavior from the parents to bring babies and children that are so young that they cannot sit in their seat and be quite for 2 plus hours, so it's unfair to all the other patrons and to the children as well. Like you pointed out, babies and little kids tend to easily get upset and cry or throw tantrums from over stimulation from being in busy and loud public places. (And if you really got a screaming and crying baby or just a disruptive child that cannot be quite and sit still, then you should be thrown out of the theater faster than Lauren Bober and her "date" at Beetlejuice!) Besides, it's the year 2024 we have access to copious amounts of entertainment that people can easily, cheaply and comfortably enjoy at home. Not to mention the fact that if people can afford 1 or 2 adult tickets and children's tickets to go to a movie or attend a play, then they certainly can afford to hire a baby sitter for a few hours. (And it literally makes no sense to pay all that money for tickets, to only then miss out on most of a movie or a performance because you get up out of your seat and go sit out in a cry room for only God knows how long, and do that more than once. It's completely stupid and a waste of money.)

All clouds have water droplets and ice crystals. Every once in a while a small pocket of clouds will “supercool”. Meaning the ice crystals get so heavy that they fall through leaving a gap or in this case they evaporate completely leaving that “hole”. They are usually triggered by airplanes passing through the cloud layer but they can on occasion happen spontaneously.

the extra finger is apparently called "polydactyly" and incredibly rare here duplicate muscles n tendons are also formed because most of the time it's either really hard to move or don't move at all... supposedly a "mutation" but with that word being insanely vague and not really even provable nor decipherable from a genetic variation since gene expression can switch on and off for many reasons during reproduction as the DNA cards are shuffled. Think of it like this, you have the genetic ability to have different colored eyes, but your eye color is what was chosen as the genes to be expressed in your appearance. Which gives the ability for you to then have kids who may very likely have your eye color or a different one. We've all heard about "dominant and recessive" genes but this doesn't really mean what it sounds like. lol

For two reasons, I am a professional Dominatrix so the last thing my slaves want is to be comfortable, and I didn't realize it at the time I bought them but that fur was actually real rabbit fur. The lines in your fingers, as well as the ones on your palms are from bending them. Every time you bend them it creases the skin just a little, leaving permanent creases in the skin. They will probably even go away if you stop bending your fingers for long enough. It would be extremely hard to do this though, since that would take months, or maybe years, and we bend our fingers constantly for just about everything.

Wrong. I doubt the green juice has an addictive as I recently found out in Italy it's illegal to add food dyes in juices and other products. I found the list online: coffe, chocolate, torrone (a type of traditional Christmas dessert), vinegar, fruit juices, wine, beer, oil, water, bread, for some reason rice noodles, sugar, honey, meat and fish. This has to be done because the public has to see the food in it's original colour, otherwise it is considered fraud for the lack of genuinenes or it's state of alteration (I'm guessing if they did something to the food and dyed to to make it look like nothing was done to it). Also we classify dyes by letters. If you go to Europe and a product has a dye intended for a surface or wrapping (think of a cheese crust) the dye has the letter C before the number. Otherwise if it's an edible dye it has the letter E before it. So if you read a label and see something like E followed by a small string of numbers you're reading the correct labelling for a dye indredient. In short it's a food dye, not some weird chemical. I also read that since 2010 in Europe on products containing dyes where extensive research has been done, and proof came out that they have an effect on children, there have to be warnings on labels. And if a product contains a safe plant based dye (like beetroot or carrot derivatives) but in the product it is used to possibly hide the quality of the product it has to be listed as an ingredient. Man European food laws are very strict.
