Yes I can say sir but unfortunately it just doesn't carry the same weight as being called oom because if someone calls you oom it means thei see you as a respectable old person. People are usually called oom if they are over 30 years old. I was 19 when kids started calling me oom. Hell it has even happened to me that someone my own age called me oom and then promptly apologized when I told them I was the same age. Do you know how it feels to be seen as a old man when you're just nineteen years old. I have even bought my dad cigarettes since before I was even a high schooler and no one has ever asked for my id .
