What's really great to keep hydrated is one of those camelback type bladders you sling across your back with a little sipping hose that you clip to your shirt. Drop in some ice cubes so it stays cool longer, and it can cool your back too. Fill it with water or rehydrating drink like gatorade, or make your own. Those things keep you going a long time and are easy to carry. There are also these special towels that you get wet and wear around your neck and as the water evaporates it cools you. I bought several for my sisters and their families who like to go down to Cancun and they liked them. You'll never find me going to someplace hot and humid for vacation. I hate hot weather. Winter was my favorite time of year back East. Must be the Norwegian in me.

Wonderful decorations, fun memories (not so much the hike) beautiful ladies young and young at heart (not saying old trying not to step in it) the creativity you have will always be appreciated I look back what my mom came up with and did for us four kids and it brings smiles to my face.

Linh, 500 feet is nothing! It's the heat that's effecting you. If you guys were hiking that hill in December, you'd be just fine. But by then you guys will be far to the south, on your way to Tahiti? Oh, and Teal, on the next Crom please deck out the "limo." A few streamers and some chilled champaign would be nice.

The wooden path was very impressive considering there are no trees for many miles. Love hikes that turn out like that. Much better to turn around than risk heat illness. Still trying to figure out your cruise strategy. Without knowing how many days your actually spending in each anchorage it looks like your moving a lot.

We are moving a lot because the hurricane season ramps up here in the Sea of Cortez from June to October. The peak activity is late August to early September. The faster pace is to push towards higher latitudes for more protection.

@@OnboardLifestyle I understood that. Wouldn't just lining up on the Lee shore protect you.. you have shown countless 270 degree protected anchorages. Won't the wind be off the bow when you head back south? Again not sure when you made these. Emma is becoming a leader. Keep giving her more responsibility. 120 yrs ago there were 18 yr old master's sailing huge sailing ships with huge crews. Carry on.

I went to a private school we never had a prom. For me I’m handicap. I want to sail and live on a sailboat. I do not have a job yet. Im going to have a doctor appointment about my medicine. If I can take a different kind and I can get a job. I want to get a sailboat in the next few years. I would also like a lady to be my shipmate. So I’m excited if this appointment goes well. 😃⛵️
