In my opinion, LIS2 is one of the best in the saga... I mean, at least for me :)) If u aren't sure to continue bc u can't enjoy the game with the different cast, you just have to give it an oportunnity, I promise u'll enjoy it

I love the voice acting and story of True Colors. I love the uniqueness of this game and the design of your choices also impacting the behavior of your brother. Of course the original is the original.... it's hard to pick a favorite.

no matter how many times i play through this game or watch other people’s playthroughs, the confrontation in the prologue never fails to make me anxious and devastated. there’s something so viscerally upsetting about the complete 180 from the cute homey first half-hour or so of the game to the shock and horror of the few short minutes it takes to ruin it. it does a great job of putting you in sean’s shoes and bonding you to him as a protagonist. and to parrot some other comments, i hope you get around to captain spirit before episode 2! it’s one of my favorite episodes of the entire series and adds a lot of valuable context to this game. it’s a lot like farewell imo, but it’s supposed to be played as a prelude to lis2 rather than an epilogue. super looking forward to the rest of your playthrough!!!

totally feel the same, I always avoid the first episode for that reason. you can feel sean’s entire life plan slipping between his fingers as he runs with daniel, it’s heartbreaking.

Although my love and affection for Lis 1 is much greater, I still really like 2, I can't wait to see your future reactions, I'm already looking forward to following this journey further. In fact, there is a small complement to this game that you could play before continuing the series, it is called "The Awasome Adventures of Captain Spirit", it is very good to complement the story and it is very short too

(Honestly, you should have already played it as it was released before LiS 2 to be a teaser) I love Life is Strange 2 as much as the original... but it's because of how different it is from the original.

When I first heard about LiS2 I had similar thoughts as you, I wasn't sure if I could ever enjoy a LiS game without the OG cast, but the writers for these games have SUCH a talent to make you care about the new characters and the world surrounding them SO FAST, it's incredible! Peak writing imho in all of their games so far. It's been a minute since I played LiS2 and I forgot a lot about the story, so I'm replaying it alongside you, haha. I gotta hurry so I can finish episode 2 before your next upload 😂

welcome to the journey of the wolf brothers!! i had the same thoughts initially and i was skeptical about having a different cast from max & chloe, but they absolutely knocked it out of the park with this game. and it ended up surpassing every expectation, and becoming my favorite in the franchise - and still is 6 years later. its such a special experience.

I never saw that branch error before in any playthrough or my own game. I was on PC. I have noticed some audio issues with the PS gameplays. I'm sad you missed so much at the camp site. There was a cool chat on top of the rocks you could have had... and there was skipping stones and log racing and a moment to draw.

after this episode, one "needs" to play "Awesome adventures of captain spirit" which is free. as the next episode "rules" uses your save data from captain spirit. in fact it will let you know if its found your save data or not.

Please also play “The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit”. It’s a small game of about 1-2 hours but it’s going to explain some future details regarding Episode 2! Not necessarily mandatory but most players are asked to play it first, especially since it’s part of the game and story. I think you should definitely give it a go! 🙂

One of my favorite moments was for sure the way you just went to "MURDER" with that dipshit gas station guy, I agree, fuck him and ye Browdy is the best! Btw. He didnt randomly look at naked people he was writing a piece about nudists. :D Also the way you paused and asked about the arcadia bay option in the beginning right as you entered that scene was so funny! Welcome to small town USA; been here 20 years and I still get wierd looks and quized at the small stores/resteraunts/gas stations that you find off the beaten track due to the English accent, dread to think how bad it would be if they didn't like the color of my skin too. Whole lot of ignorant folks who don't trust anyone who doesn't look and sound just like them; why certain politcal parties stoke the fires for easy votes. This one hits harder in a lot of ways than LIS1, but glad you're giving it a run through :)

I don’t have time to start right now, but I am excited. For me; LiS True Colours > LiS 1 > LiS 2 > LiS BtS. So this is not my fav, but I am very very excited to see your reaction to it! After the Bonus episode, I had not expected more just jet, but very happy!! 😄

I have the same ranking too. BtS was too short in my opinion and ended too abruptly. It was fun to learn to know Rachel and Chloe, but it ended when the fun had just begun. I like the special powers in True Colors the most and the improved UI and graphics was nice. The story was in my opinion on par with LIS1 without spoiling anything for Emmalition. I liked LIS1 quite a bit, but didn't like the end part. Too confusing regarding who lived or not until you got the big end decision. I would have preferred a hybrid where you could save some in Arcadia in the storm sequence and Chloe too. I felt that my decisions in the game didn't matter because the end decision trumped them all. E. g. Victoria died in my play through, but was still alive since I saved Arcadia. LIS2 was frustrating because Daniel was such a brat sometimes. I didn't like the endings either without spoiling too much since Emmalition hasn't played through the game yet. Still, it was fun to play because the story was quite different from LIS1. I have high hopes for Double Exposure and don't feel Deck Nine are milking the Max story. People want to play popular characters in sequels and now we have a chance. It's too early to judge how Deck Nine managed the transition from LIS1, especially regarding Chloe. As a separate game it seems fun and I can start playing in 5 days. Can't wait.

gurl, I completely understand that you want to play all the previous games before the release of Double Exposure, but a life is strange marathon? I do NOT recommend it. you'll be emotionally destroyed by the end. LiS2 is my favorite of the license for story, characters, aesthetic, atmosphere, music and art direction. I know it resonates more with the male audience but I'm hopeful you'll like it all the same!!! Can't wait to fall back into depression watching your let's play! And as another comment said, I recommend you play The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit before playing the second chapter.
