She never answered the questions directly, she just kept saying she knows it was wrong and she’s working to do better but could never actually answer in regards to what was asked.. which leads me to believe she is only saying all of this because she was caught. When you grow up in that life style (and yes her up bringing definitely played a part in this) you are conditioned to not see anything wrong with it and you assume it’s okay, which is likely the case for her, and her admitting she never laid awake at night thinking about what might happen if Matt saw the pictures just proves she didn’t understand the severity of what she did. And Because of that and her being so naive to it all her whole life I doubt her mindset would change so quickly and although she may be reading things and listening to things to educate herself; when you lived one way for so long it won’t change overnight if it even changes at all.

(Physically or emotionally) Those are sensitive issues, and there is vulnerability in sharing that with a national audience..... I feel that Rachael is remorseful about her racial insensitivity. I only hope that IF Matt truly fell in love with her, that this was NOT the last time they will speak. Sara. Each person has experienced things in life that form our values, deal breakers, needs, and desires. We each have the right to try and find our person. We may even make a few bad choices before we find them. But we each get to decide whom we share our life with. Some of us because of our experiences require home to be a place of solace, free from the obstacles we face out in the world on a daily basis. Some of us want our children not to face the same issues we had to fight. That starts with finding someone who values your experiences and shares what you also find important. Matt deserves to honor himself and make a decision he can live with. He will forgive her, but they don't need to be married

When he discussed it with her privately it didn't go well. She was dismissive, played the victim and was focused on her own feelings. She admitted she needed time to understand why it mattered. Still more time to understand why he was hurt. I'm sure he'll forgive her but no one needs to enter into a marriage where they question their worth or value. It's okay that they don't have the same core values and it's okay if deal-breakers are based upon past experiences. They will both heal and live on.
