On Cowboy Carter, Alligator Tears is a love song to America and its toxic relationship between Black and White America and the hypocrisy of its ideals vs. its reality. It's also about the industry's demands and expectations of Beyoncé while it rewards white mediocrity. It's also about the weaponization of white women tears and the need for African Americans to conform to societal norms to make white America feel comfortable. She added those white industry co-signing interludes to reinforce her points made throughout the album. It's extremely layered and genius. I would recommend everyone to go back and listen to that song which is a critic of America; its double standards and its need to take from African Americans while playing the villain and victim at the same time.

Wow that's the way you respond to what I wrote. I've been listening to Dr. Carr and you faithfully since you started the Sat. morning show. You couldn't just give the information about what I referred to mske your point. Your response just confirmed your intolerance for honest ideologue. You can be right or wrong but to stoop to name calling from the position you occupy is puzzling but thanks for revealing your true nature.

I know what it means, but when you're doing this kind of hit job as a man on a young woman, you may need to watch your words. (like how Black people can call each other the n-word and women can call each other the B word, but those outside the group better not).
This is like Magic vs Bird back in the day. Whites were for Bird/Celtics and Blacks were for Magic/Lakers. 🤔
@muadhnate6 ай бұрын
Criticism isn't the problem. Not liking a player isn't a problem. But for a black man to LIE about that press conference simply to reinforce a "villain seeking sympathy" narrative (which was started by the same anti-black people that sent her those death and aex threats) that's THE PROBLEM.

@anitac1970116 ай бұрын
Fan hate is not the same as racism coupled with death threats. Y’all need to realize the difference. There was a clear double standard being applied in this situation.
@koolhandduke40876 ай бұрын
If you think death threats to a young black woman is ok, then you're as problematic to our cause, condition and community as any other self hating negro that masquerade as kin but really just skin. She wasn't looking for sympathy becuz she lost. Many player are emotional aft a loss in the tournament, men and women. But add to that, she got emotional listening to the words of praise by her teammates. Angel Reese was vilinized becuz she beat Amer's darling last year for the chip and in the process gave back to Caitlyn the taunting that Caitlyn had dissed out to others. For anybody, especially black men to find justification in death threats to this young woman says as much about those black men as it does the petty, sick racists that attached the villian tag to her. I stand with Angel becuz she did nothing wrong.

We do not. We no longer need his “uncomfortable conversations” because they aren’t that uncomfortable. He is a facilitator because he is not ADOACS. He can’t see our point of view. If we weren't so focused on skin color this wouldn't be a problem. I'm not a famous person, nor am I a "nobody". Neither are you. If you don't like people or don't respect them why do you care what they think about you? I love to say: "What they think of me is none of my business." Resentment has never done me any good.

Dude, could not have missed the point of the Cowboy Carter album paying homage to Dolly and Willie more if he had tried, which he clearly did not. She didn't need their validation for the promotion of this album. If their inclusion was anything, it was to drive home the point to those who criticized and complained about her taking up space in "their realm or genre" that not only is she going to take up all the space she wants too, she's going to include the greats of this genre...who essentially gave those same critics the middle finger while supporting her work.

How can it be that individuals, regardless of their race, harboring insecurities and narcissistic traits, feel entitled to disparage our cherished Angel Reese? Where are the protectors in our community-godfathers, uncles, pastors-who should stand against such public disparagement on social media? It's a stark reminder of a painful history where, even after centuries of struggle, the plight remains for young African-American girls, left vulnerable to the criticisms of these disillusioned men. Just last year, many sang praise for her achievements; however, the nasty still showed their faces; now, in times of loss, the support wanes from our black men and other counterparts. This is deeply troubling. It raises a crucial question about men's role in our community. Black men must recognize their inherent strength and stand firm in their leadership and protective roles. The fear that hinders this realization must be confronted and overcome. If black men unite, the narrative for our young ones can change, shielding them from the harmful rhetoric that undermines their self-esteem. It's time for black men to rise, embrace their rightful positions, and safeguard the dignity of our future generations.

I get the impression you're a woman. I didn't even read all of it because it's just another bw brow beating bm on what they ought to do and move. This is not a new complaint or conversation in the community. Bm protect women they deem worthy. Many bw don't qualify in thier eyes. Obviously Angel doesn't. Bw and bg's just need to deal with men who view them as worthy.

I'm glad someone is acknowledging this basketball is not that appealing to watch. Nobody can jump. Defense is a hand up in the air. (Often, same in the NBA.) the NCAA and WBA could greatly benefit from a Kyrie-like ball handler and play maker, even if they weren't the best shooter. But the highlights of a player weaving around NCAA players and breaking angles would send folks into tumults of joy, kinda like seeing those supermodels trip and fall on the runway.
