To those concerned about brushing: these videos are sped up quite a bit and that distorts the brushing sound making it sound much worse than it really is. I'm not applying much pressure while brushing and the brush never makes contact with the skin. The sound you're hearing is the brush separating micro tangles in the puppy's fur, you'll notice it gets quieter when the tangles are cleared. If it were very aggressive brushing, I wouldn't have soo many dogs happily sit through it, which are just about all the dogs I groom.

You ought to create a "cheat sheet" that includes a diagram as well as all the tools you use! Being quarantined, I've had to become our Goldendoodle's groomer. You have been the best, by far, of all videos on KZbin and I have watched MANY! Well done!

Agree 100%! The video on Teddy was an excellent example. You have an amazing skill set Anna, this is a great platform for you to create your own successful niche. There is a need for quality no nonsense grooming videos. Share the brands on your tools, you can definitely build a sponsorship. Good luck with your business!

Your grooming skills are awesome, you always do such a beautiful job. The music on your videos is distracting and unnecessary. Also, just a question, why don’t you pluck the ears and do anal glands? Just curious

Great job Anna! Love your videos. I’m opening my own goldendoodle grooming salon where I just do goldendoodles haircuts. After opening with the same idea before the covid 19 outbreak I was doing everything for cheep and getter really neglected dogs that were so stinky and took so long. I’m moving areas and charging more now so I get a class of people that take the time to learn and brush their dogs. I don’t want to bath them because I would have to carry them through my house but do see the fluff as a need for a more even haircut and it’s adorable trendy style adding the smooth fluffy look. 4 questions How much do you charge for the full service your did for this dog? How often does this dog get groomed to be in that good of condition? What length gaurd do you use for this length? 1/2” or 1” Would the hair blow dry strait if it wasn’t soaking wet first. If I just wet it with a towel under them instead of fully bathed each dog. I don’t have a bath available but just ordered a dog blow dryer so wondering how we can skip that and still get the fluff. Look forward to hearing from you! Keep up the great work!
@ashlynjoy18254 жыл бұрын
Oh I turned the volume up and heard you did 1”. Sorry one more question. At what point in matted doodles do you not bath and have to cut down without a gaurd???
@yaslinegonzalez3594 жыл бұрын
Ashlyn Kowallis question if you just gonna do Goldendoodles only but what about other owners/client that have labradoodle Irishdoodle Aussiedoodle berniedoodle Sheepadoodles n poodle plus small poodle mix dog like a maltipoo cavoodle Cockapoo n cavachon etc... so what about them?
@ashlynjoy18254 жыл бұрын
Yasline Gonzalez Yes I do all the doodles but specialize in the 25 pound + doodles. :) I have also been taking on other breeds but only need 3-5 dogs a week and there are a ton of doodles where we live so I’m hoping to just get those eventually. :)
@nmiller12214 жыл бұрын
In order to groom correctly you need to bathe the dog first. Then you need to blow them dry in order to fluf them. If you aren't bathing them first you won't be able to give a proper groom and you will destroy your clippers and your scissors

Hi, Groomers will sometimes clip a dogs fur before bathing so that there is not so much hair to dry! Not all dogs enjoy the dryer;) There will always be a second clip once the dog is clean and dry to neaten it up.

I was a bit surprised that you bathe the dogs first. From watching other groomers, their rule is to never bathe the dog first. But everyone has their own methods. I understand why you bathe them first and appreciate that you take time in brushing first before using the clippers. Your work is amazing
@annemariebartlett85074 жыл бұрын
If you bathe a dog before grooming, you save wear on your expensive tools. Clipping a dirty dog dulls blades very quickly. You also have a clean and fluffed out landscape to work with.
@karenschneider42674 жыл бұрын
the bath should be first, now some groomers are shaving them down first. There very few talented groomers like Anna, people watch these mega speed grooms on youtube and they are the worst.
