I absolutely love the symbolism of the glass between the two as she paints over it. “It’s the same theme in 2018” hits, for me, even harder because the original plays as a mourning for the 1993 bombing while this plays as a “we haven’t learned anything because we keep painting over the past”.

I'll probably get a lot of shit because I'm an English lad (newcastle) but this song , this version and the original, hammer home how hurtful this conflict has been. I've never met an Irishman/woman that wished me harm, and I've never wished harm on any Irishman/woman. England needs to acknowledge the pain that they have caused and try their best to bridge the gap they caused between our neighbours. No country should own another. R.i.p to all the people who have died during these times 🇮🇪🍀🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🌹

Too many are too young to understand what is meant when someone says the Troubles. I know all to well, I lost my daughter during the troubles and had it not been for two good mates I would have taken a very dark path. I tried but they stopped me before I crossed that line. Then seeing the effects of that bomb and those dead children made me realize both sides were loosing. Hate and revenge is a nasty cycle that ends up destroying all involved.

Back in the 1990’s, I was in Atlanta with my 10 year old daughter where the Cranberries were doing a meet and greet autograph signing. I got to meet the fellas in the band, but they were packing it up when she saw my little girl. She sat back down and invited her over and they had a short, quiet conversation. She signed our cd booklet and my daughter was beaming. Delores glanced over to me and flashed that adorable smile and looked at me with those deep, beautiful eyes. She enchanted me right there. I was so hurt to hear of her passing and this video really keeps her memory relevant, at least to me.

For a little context of this version, I believe that Delores was collaborating on this cover with Bad Wolves and was scheduled to go into the studio that day (of her passing) to record some vocals. Clearly the band was devastated by her untimely passing and I feel their connection with her really comes through in this song and video. The lead singer Tommy Vex has his own troubled history and so this song meant a lot to him.

I, like many was devastated when i heard of her passing, i had friends messaging me asking if i heard, i just couldnt believe it. No Need to Argue is still one of my all time fav albums. I never met the woman but as an artist I think her stamp of approval would have been all over this. It's heartbreaking that she is gone and worse that she should have been on this song but I have to respect that they still released it and donated proceeds to her children. I wish the world felt and showed as much heart as a lot of musicians.

I've played bass for close to 20 years and I can easily say that this song has one of the most memorable bass lines out there. Memorable, not because of it's complexity or melodic structure but because of it's simplicity. I mean the whole song is just great, but that driving beat really sets up the song for the vocals to come. Good cover, by the way.

I love how the lyric changes were really subtle just to make the exact same message relevant to modern times, without really changing much. It still paid perfect homage to the original song.

To me, her version sounds as if its the heart of mothers crying for thier children. But in this version is more the anger behind the senslessness of the violence. Certainly brings back to the surface and the conversation that it should. Powerful imagery and sound.

it's a respecftful version from another point of view rather than trying to "bottle it back up" and just resell lyrics. This wasn't a fun cover, this was a painful reiteration of the message and the pain and anger that it's not being heard.

I always Leary of co ers, but when I finally broke to watch this, all I can say was I was deeply moved, and glad to hear that they didnt stray from the original message and captured and kept they emotional content. And to the director of this video paid great homage to Delores, her family and The Cranberries. Great remake, and still very much LOVE the original.

But what really amazes me is that she died on January 15th, and this was released on the 19th...they finished writing the song, recording the song, shooting this music video, and editing it, ALL IN 4 DAYS! The original was so hard hitting, and as a rule I'm not usually a fan of covers but these guys did an amazing job! The tribute to Delores in the video gets me every time too - as the gold lady writes a date in the paint; the date of when Delores left us; 15th January 2018. (written as 1/15/18 in the paint). So sad, yet touching and powerful.

Bad Wolves adjusted the lyrics to fit 2018 with Delores's approval, and she wanted to be apart of the cover. Bad Wolves nearly did not record this cover. But they knew that they needed to honor her and her sons by going ahead with a song that she was 100% behind.
