I absolutely love the symbolism of the glass between the two as she paints over it. “It’s the same theme in 2018” hits, for me, even harder because the original plays as a mourning for the 1993 bombing while this plays as a “we haven’t learned anything because we keep painting over the past”.

I'll probably get a lot of shit because I'm an English lad (newcastle) but this song , this version and the original, hammer home how hurtful this conflict has been. I've never met an Irishman/woman that wished me harm, and I've never wished harm on any Irishman/woman. England needs to acknowledge the pain that they have caused and try their best to bridge the gap they caused between our neighbours. No country should own another. Too many are too young to understand what is meant when someone says the Troubles. I know all to well, I lost my daughter during the troubles and had it not been for two good mates I would have taken a very dark path. I tried but they stopped me before I crossed that line. Back in the 1990’s, I was in Atlanta with my 10 year old daughter where the Cranberries were doing a meet and greet autograph signing. I got to meet the fellas in the band, but they were packing it up when she saw my little girl. She sat back down and invited her over and they had a short, quiet conversation. She signed our cd booklet and my daughter was beaming. Delores glanced over to me and flashed that adorable smile and looked at me with those deep, beautiful eyes. She enchanted me right there. Drew, when you are considerably older and have a lifetime of struggles that you have lived through the tears will come. Not because you are weak as some may assume but because you are just tired from being strong.

I always Leary of co ers, but when I finally broke to watch this, all I can say was I was deeply moved, and glad to hear that they didnt stray from the original message and captured and kept they emotional content. And to the director of this video paid great homage to Delores, her family and The Cranberries. Great remake, and still very much LOVE the original.

I saw these guys perform this live in Vegas a couple years ago, the singer cried while singing it on stage and the emotion was so real, really hit home.

It's crazy that they we suppose to meet with Dolores on the day she died. But what really amazes me is that she died on January 15th, and this was released on the 19th...they finished writing the song, recording the song, shooting this music video, and editing it, ALL IN 4 DAYS! Great tribute; mad respect to Bad Wolves

The original was so hard hitting, and as a rule I'm not usually a fan of covers but these guys did an amazing job! The tribute to Delores in the video gets me every time too - as the gold lady writes a date in the paint; the date of when Delores left us; 15th January 2018. (written as 1/15/18 in the paint). So sad, yet touching and powerful.

I'm a French Canadian and the original song almost brought me to tears because I'm old enough to remember the troubles it was a horrible time a lot of younger people forget how violent it was in Ireland and Beyond watch a documentary it will bring you to tears

I am from Greece and I was very little in the 90s when it came out but you bet I cry every time I listen to this song, the pain of conflicts and wars is universal and this song made my heart ache for the Irish.

I'm not even Irish and this always brings tears to me. IT is a tribute in every sense of the words. A tribute to the band, to their message, and to the life of a woman who only wanted to bring justice to those who couldn't speak for themselves.

Dont worry about it, being American or from limerick is the same as far as living in NI is concerned. You both watched it on telly. Like Dubliners.

I love Ireland so much. You Irelanders have so much sass but when you’re playful about it, you can light a whole room. Y’all had one of the best singers ever and made this song y’all’s and hers. Y’all are some of the friendliest people the world has ever had the chance of having. -USA.

Can you thank them for everything. The vocal performance had such raw power and emotion. For a middle youthed irish girl - you made me realise just how much she made me love her music. Hopefully this also introduced another generation to the cranberries.

I vividly remember when this bonafide classic first released in my youth. I am now 46 years old and it still resides in my playlist along with the rest of the album 'No Need To Argue' and "Linger" from 'Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?' I will listen to Dolores's voice until I draw my last breath. Rest In Eternal Peace sweet lady!

Bad Wolves adjusted the lyrics to fit 2018 with Delores's approval, and she wanted to be apart of the cover. Bad Wolves nearly did not record this cover. But they knew that they needed to honor her and her sons by going ahead with a song that she was 100% behind.
