Just make sure to use protection as many female reactors seem to get pregnant watching this one. Once again, I commend you for your bravery in opening up to us, hopefully the experience proved cathartic/ therapeutic for you. Yes, Violet is the worst part of that, but it's the beauty of Ren that he shines a light in these dark corners of the world that soooo many people have had to deal with and are still dealing with. He makes us sit up and wrap our arms around each other in sympathy. "Rising Tides lift all ships" You need some fun. I found Ren at a time when i was completely shut down and emotionally numb. His music literally cracked my soul open and unlocked my emotions again, which was both terrifying and cathartic... then I found the Renegade community, especially Rens Rabbit Hole Fans on Facebook and honestly it has changed my life and given me hope in humans again... The Renegade community ( more than any other community I have experienced) are truly special and a true safe space for me.... Renegades recognise other Renegades and we will be here to support you, if Ren hits you deeply, then you know what we know and we all understand and empathise.... Be you, we have found you through your reactions and we will be here to show support. x

Big hugs Marissa, hopefully Ren's art was more cathartic than traumatic. As a son of an alcoholic abusive father I don't pretend to have the same experiences as you, but possibly I can relate a little bit. All I can say is the same as Ren did in Hi Ren. I got older and learned to soften. I decided a long time ago that it wouldn't define my life, changed my surname, moved, and made sure that, when the time came, I was a better dad than he ever was. Hopefully you will reach the same resolution with your pain, if you haven't already. The one thing that this shit tends to give you is empathy for fellow humans, and that is a gift. Know that there is a whole community of fellow empaths here for you should you ever need it.

Ren can be a jagged little pill, but he’s always trying to educate. He read about a young woman being stabbed to death in the news by a boy and created a Shakespearen tragedy out of it. Yes, in part to entertain, but also to call attention to generational violence and the knife violence epidemic in England. Thank you for bringing us these powerfully moving reactions, please take care of yourself. 💜😊💜

Us Renegades know what 'I'm okay' is code for. Know that you are not alone. We may not know your story, that doesn't matter to us, you are a kind and gentle soul. It shines through in your reactions, if you didn't know. I giggled when you were gushing and just straight up *lick*. Your face right before Jenny's intuition was making her so scared. I'm sorry bad things happen in this world (as if I had any power over that). Rens ability to paint such a picture with words and a guitar is remarkable coming from someone with Aphantasia. (If you haven't noticed by now, I add a segment along as you watch it) Curious but scared, I like it. Beautiful and terrifying, another one. (Intro to Screech's Tale) I think we could all just listen to Ren go on and on just playing the guitar in different ways. It's like it allows (at least mine) the brain to stop going a million miles a minute and just vibe with his flow. *Soft voice* We are here for you. I'm scared for the next one... 'OK' (continues) Sam is amazing behind the camera. Wow indeed. I hope you do get the commercial for a little separation so it won't be as hard on you, not that a commercial would have helped (as you just pressed play and are jamming out to the last song intro) Yup, that was our reaction too.. staring and amazement. (pause) The beautiful 'OooOoOo' section that reminds me of a ghost (or ghost story, as she passed in the end). Am I delaying the story before he starts, yes. Does your video still say it's released yesterday, also yes. I knew this was going to be rough, but if you can for us... (un-pause) You'll figure out the issues with the sound, no worries from us. 'F***' indeed. (This is going to be rough) Sometimes I'm glad I don't remember my childhood for this reason. (Side note) Not that I don't feel the story or that I don't want to know about my past to heal from wounds my mind is protecting me from. (end note) Unfortunately, that was the end of the song. I'm glad we more time with you. I don't think anyone saw it coming. I watched them in a row as you did but imagine having to wait and then the realization after all that time. You reacted amazingly given the circumstances. Only the AMAZING reactors (in my book) to this and 'Hi Ren' are ones who feel this deeply. It is hard to listen to but as is generational trauma to deal with. Ren's ability to break it down so well through the inner lacing of narratives through the story of two parents (Stevie and Violet) and their children (Jenny and James). I'm glad to have found you even under the most painful circumstances. We as a community see you and I for one could never hold your feelings against you either. If someone bothers you, shame on them. It's never good to let it just sit, a good cry is needed sometimes and thank you for sharing your cry with us (You weren't alone in the crying either). 'Giving voice to voiceless' is beautiful. It isn't talked about or given the space in the 'normal world' which is why I for one think Ren finds it so important to share. Until next time 'do the things' (giggle at the Varick reference). You are more than welcome. Bye! (sigh was felt with how heavy it was) Positive vibes.

Those voices are never the ones shouting louder than our politicians, but we're out here, never forget that. Writing things down then burning the writings is a good trick. It can help.

Videos, like this one, in my opinion, are so very important. This is what social media desperately needs. People need to see/hear the realities associated with dv, sa, etc.. Ren, with this video, has created a platform on which people can learn about those realities, and through reactors like yourself, the impact of those behaviors. The same can be said about, "Hi Ren". The internal battle within ourselves, sometimes so intense as to make us want to self destruct, is a very real thing for so many. For those of us who struggle with these things, perhaps isolated or withdrawn from 'society', just the fact of knowing there are others feeling the same, can bring some sense of hope. Knowing that we aren't alone, is sometimes enough. I've seen a lot of s..t, and I've been through a lot of s..t, in my 57 years. The past ten, may very well have been the worst. "Hi Ren", in all honesty, may be what pulled me up from the dark hole I seemed to be burying myself in. It really seemed to be the, "voice that you hear, when you loosen the noose on the rope", for me. Equally helpful for me, has been watching others react to the videos, that had such an impact on me. These last two reactions of yours, "Hi Ren", and "Jenny and Screech", really highlighted for me, how very important these video reactions can be. Please keep doing what you are doing, because I believe you are helping to heal everyone who watches you share your journey. Thank you, Marissa!!!

Tears are just the healing happening - I just wish it didn't take so many... 52 years old, and still not quite done : ( Can we just acknowledge that there are at least THREE generations of abuse here. We can imply that Violets mother had her own painful past, hence the drinking and a poor choice in partner. Screech took after his father in terms of how he dealt with frustration, but had the added pain of rejection and being lost in 'the system' ... Jenny took after the mother she never knew, and her grandmother... all of them were crippled by conflict and unable to self-advocate. This story was never going to have a happy ending. And lets not forget that Jenny was regularly out in the streets in the early hours... wearing makeup and high heels at just 14 years old. We just don't know her age at the start. And whilst we don't get to hear much about Jennys situation, we know enough to understand that she had her own issues. She was just as much a 'lost child' as Screech. What saddens me is that Screech may have turned out very differently if he'd grown up with a sister to protect... he needed some connection to the world. And Jenny, with a brother by her side, may have had more self esteem and confidence. They were both the missing part of the other : (((( It's just so crushingly tragic. And so goes a deeply layered Shakespearean tragedy in 3 acts. And a story who's elements play out a hundred times a night, in every major city in the world : ( This is music that NEEDED to be made. Music that shines a light into the dark corners, where people dare not look. But look we must : /

Just to add clarity to the story arch. Jenny and Screech were Violets twins, after Violets death they were separated at birth and put into the system. (Violets Boyfriend was surely sent to prison for murder.) Growing up apart, they did not know each other. Jenny became a prostitute ("Well, she knew this town, she knew this floor Because she'd walked it about a thousand times before She wanted to escape, can you blame?" & "She tried to find strength to move But stayed as still as a statue in high heeled shoes"). Not that wearing high heals and shoes and walking the same streets makes on. a prostitute. but given that she is only 14 and doing that in a Ren Sega you can bet that he's implying the most dramatic plot twist. While Screech became a street hustler and petty criminal. Jenny taking on her mothers coping mechanism of freezing still during traumatic experiences. And Screech like his father was prone to physical violence. PS you need some happy Ren now... Try Losing It or Back on 74 Message in a Bottle Retake. Before you go into any more dark Ren. He's therapeutic with it but it's always so well constructed it's emotional.

Our life experiences make us who we are at any given point of time in our lives and only we truly know how we got to the point we're in. Your story is your story and it's just as important as mine or Ren's or anyone else's. We're all unique and we all are so special NO MATTER OUR CHILDHOOD!! You're quite deep and highly articulate...AND open about things that are hard to talk about. So glad you found us, we found you, he found we, that all makes us one so you see I gotta hug you if you gotta hug me!! (My attempt at "Renning." LOL) But truly, loved this video and I hope it helped you in life overall...seriously. Ren is a perfectionist but have you noticed Hi Ren and these videos have all been ONE CONTINUOUS LIVE TAKE?! He does a lot of one take videos to keep it even more real. Pure genius!! Keep up the good work and know that you do matter and you're awesome!!

I know we are not in the same situations, but I feel you on having to start over with a new therapist. not that mine had passed away but they did move on to another job and I was with them for 3 years, So it most definitely felt like a breakup or a passing in some sense since she passed on to another job. I did actually wind up starting with a new therapist out of being obligated to for other aspects of my life. but it is rough to have to explain everything all over again and having to catch them up to speed as you mentioned. but I do hope you follow through at some point because as you mentioned it is important or even just have someone in your life that you can vent to openly! Keep up the good work I know it's only my second video interacting with you so I don't know you but you got this and stay strong!

Gorgeous lady, you handled this well, for the little that I have seen of you, and how special you are as you come across the screen, apologies for the way this ugly sinful world has been to you, but there is power in your story, it does ground you to keep moving forward, please know that you are loved by us all, and me,

Witnessing your reaction to Screech... I am in fear for you with Violet. Hugs.

The majority of us reacted much the way you did. Men, women, young, old. A lyrical representation of generational violence. Jenny and James are very common names in the UK for orphaned/unnamed children. Many of us are survivors... you will find comfort in the Ren Community.

Good evening Marissa!!! Hope this comment finds you well!! I’m new to your channel and will definitely check out your other videos, and should go without saying, any and all Ren reactions lol Welcome to the Ren Rabbit Hole! It’s a Hell of a ride! Not all is so heavy which you will eventually find out! Great reaction! Please take care of yourself! ☮️&❤️ from Alberta, Canada

I'm sorry you found this so triggering. You're right that it is easier for those with no frame of reference to react to this. Having said that, i have yet to watch a reaction that hasn't caused a shocked or speechless reaction. The juxtaposition of the jaunty bouncy music against such darkness leaves everyone feeling a sense of disquiet in the soul. Know that when Renegade's are looking for and watching these reactions it is because we all connect with what he is saying at an emotional level and as social beings we want to share and find others, like you, to share the experience of Ren with. I just want to give you a hug. No matter your story so far, you have many happier chapters to live. Hopefully we get to share some of them with you. ❤ From the Uk

You were very brave. Ren has so much freedom being an independent artist. He can go there with many topics and does. And then of course has his own brutal story. The musical talent, the acting talent, the originality and creativity. Love you love Ren love you all😢❤😊

You are so brave and strong. I too am breaking the cycle. I’ve watched Violets tale dozens of times and still cry every single time. Big hugs.

Great reaction, your ability to just put your self out there and speak what you feel as you feel it is so powerful.

When I saw you tearing up on Jenny's tale I knew you wasn't ready for Violet's wrecking story

Another renegade hug coming from down under , big props and love ❤️ that you can express your personal experience for the world to see that takes courage and so much grit and personally I get alot out of your Reactions , obviously my story is different but it still draws them feelings straight up and to know we aren't alone means alot 🫶🤗
