It is recommended to use an electronic hopper to keep up with the high rate of fire for this marker. However a normal gravity fed hopper will work on this as well.

Yin Yang Paintball The Empire Axe is a great intermediate level paintball marker. It's a gun that will last you years and is fun on the speedball field. Maintenance is minimal and is a great platform to learn how to care for you marker.

I have a question. my local pro shop has the dye proto reflex rail on sale for the same price as the axe which one should I get? I play rec ball and I don't care about being seen because there is no forest feilds.

I would defs get the axe. I have used both and own a pmr. pmrs break all the time and axes will last you forever

+Joel Wellman Okay dont take it from someone who has 6+ years experience and who has played tournaments with both guns. Have fun replacing the battery every 1000 shots (legit no joke) getting bolt stick no matter how much lube you use or your dwell (I have owned 2 and I have 2 friends that own them and they both get it). Also enjoy using a hose clamp as your feed neck because your crappy plastic one will snap within a month of playing gaurenteed. if you know the answer dont ask 😉

The Empire AXE requires a single 9-volt battery as the electronic power source. The use of brand-name batteries is recommended. The 9-volt battery is located in the front fore-grip. The battery is accessed through the removable left side panel on the front fore-grip. Confirm that the marker is off before changing or installing the battery.

No do not use Co2 in an axe. It will void your warranty and potentially ruin parts inside the gun.

+Espinoza00 7 Both markers use the same bolt system. There are slight differences in aesthetics such as the feedneck, on/off ASA, the length and the hand grips. I would recommend you hold both and decide based on the feel of them.

We would put them on the same level in terms of performance and reliability . Each has its own feature that make it a great gun. for the Axe the hoseless design and awesome trigger make it a great gun. For the Reflex the ergonomics make it feel great in the hands. The spool valve engine is one of the smoothest for the price.

The Axe markers do not use inserts on the stock barrels. If you are referring to the barrel threads the Axe is autococker threaded.
