I'm beginning to scavenge the market for my next delay. I know this is being called the timeline killer by a lot of people, but I was curious if you all had any comparisons or thoughts between the two? I love my bigsky (So I naturally lean a hair towards strymon), but spending this amount of cash for either I would make sure to have the best. I know trying in person is always ideal, but that's a bit hard to do at the moment.
@markinthemix60557 жыл бұрын
I swear Mr PT this demo is killer 😳 the Kemper amp tones ripped and left quite a few of us with jaws dropped. Cracking me up how your enjoying the Floyd equipped guitar. Will this be a feature on Suhr instruments??? 🤢

Hi Pete! Great demo your sound and playing are really phenomenal on this one. I had two questions for you: 1. I currently own the Timeline and Bigsky and wanted to see how close I can get to emulating the "Guitar Hero" sound you used in the opening segment. Which reverb and delay machine would you use on the BigSky and Timeline to get this sound? 2. How would you compare the BigSky/Timeline to the Empress Reverb? I am considering purchasing the Empress Reverb and wanted to see if it could essentially replace the BigSky/Timeline. Thanks again!
@mootsym7 жыл бұрын
This may be of no help as I haven't owned either, but from what I've read and heard on youtube.. if you want to sound like the Bigsky, you get the Bigsky. If you want to sound like various reverbs on the guitar tone, you get the Empress, if that makes any sense. It MIGHT just be psychological, but the Strymon stuff has a distinct sound. I feel like I can hear it on all their pedals and I'm not the biggest fan of whatever it is. With the Empress stuff, I don't get that feeling. I feel like I'm hearing a clearer, more pure, delay/reverb tone in addition to a clearer/purer guitar tone. idk. might just be me.
