I lived next door to two neglected lawns for 30 years. It is so frustrating. I spent hours trying to clean them up alone. A few times other neighbors helped. I am not a healthy person and several times I really overdid it in the heat. Now we live in a new neighborhood and there are no neglected lawns. I loved our old neighborhood because of the many great people and friends. It was just those two pigsties that caused me stress. So when I see you do this I can totally imagine how thrilled the neighbors are with your work.

I was thinking the same. Then again while mowing your lawn, mow their's. The back is fenced, just mow the front. Especially where the utility box is, and those two mailboxes don't belong to the homeowner. If the neighbor's are concerned about liability, at least mow the common ground and take care of the sidewalk.

Our lawn didn’t get anywhere close to being as bad as this one. Of course, the same neighbor would come in our yard to turn his lawnmower around right after my son had finished our yard-the neighbor had his blade down to the ground. I’m really happy I live in a townhome now and someone else is responsible for the yard work!

Spencer, you have a kind heart and do outstanding work to help improve neighborhoods. People in your community are fortunate to have your services, because there are plenty of landscapers who would never do what you do. A neglected house and yard can easily become an eyesore and distraction for everyone, so stepping up to edge, mow and trim make a world of difference. It certainly helps to have the right equipment. I have done similar work with just a push mower, and it is hard work. We hope this video inspires more people-not just landscapers-to give a little to help others. All the best.

Another awesome transformation!! Excellent work! I am a housekeeper and I wish I could do this for people for free. It is my goal to one day. Seeing the whole transformation of someone as I deep clean and declutter their home room by room, especially if they have a hoarding disorder, is absolutely life affirming. Seeing them start to bathe more, dress more thoughtfully, have a smile for the first time, seeing the relief in their soul and seeing them experience hope for the first time in a very very long time.... there are no words that can quite describe it!❤ I have seen it be the start, the catalyst needed, to affect many other changes long due and it is a privilege to be a small part of that. I can only imagine that as people look out on their once sorely neglected lawn and see how beautiful you have made it it very well could have the same healing effect! Very wonderful work you are doing!😊

I am so addicted to before and after work. Great job - well done. You can tell by all the little beds and paths this place was once loved. I know if the owners are deceased they are looking on it with great joy and pride now. Maybe the neighbors can pass their mower over it once in a while to keep it in check - it can go out of control so fast. As my dad always said 'don't get old'... when we are young and buy a home with lots of work we think it's fun and an opportunity to get into our best lives then we age or become disabled and life changes in a second. We now have to budget in well over $300 a month for lawn care and that does not include 2x a year of major clean up for fall/spring or if we have storm damage. Yard work is the last on the budget for many seniors but we make sure to carve it into the budget - we can't afford to play catch up.

On a cleanup I think mulch is fine but maintenance I prefer a bagged mower it always looks better. And I noticed if it is a lot of edging and scraping sidewalks and roads he chucks the sod in bags. But for a cleanup a bag isn’t really necessary it’s all about edging and mowing. After that if it was mowed and bagged it would look fabulous.

Your work reveals the character of these places...it looks like it was a beautiful property at one time.

Spencer, actually, this looked like a pretty nice property that just happened to be abandoned. As usual, you did a nice job on all 4 sides, however, I thought you left way to much cut grass on the lawn, especially near the sidewalk. Why didn't you use the grass catching attachment?

When the esthetician asks "how long has it been?" And they hear, "oh not that long 😳" Excellent work as always!
