Nice setup a tent on wheels. I'm making a build from a 5x8 Interstate storage trailer and definitely excited about the versatility of these small but efficient trailers. Looks great my Friend, All the Best to you

If I had known what I know now, I would have went with a 5x8. 4x8 good for 1 person but not 2. Still enjoyed this little trailer very much and took it to places most may not have tried. Enjoy your build and travels. Thanks for watching!

I'm so happy to see you do a review on your off road cargo trailer. I've been waiting for a year for this! Very cool!

Thanks! I've been wanting to do but never found the right time. With all this RONA crazyness, I finally had the time.

Did you give up on making a 6x12 camper? Is it too big to tow with a Jeep? thanks.
@Vman13134 жыл бұрын
@@walterblackledge1137 We got rid of the JKU and now have the Grand Cherokee with Hemi and TJ. I have used the 6x12 sparingly for camping, only when I go to motorcycle rallies. The 6x12 was more for going with my girlfriend now fiancee and afer going to several parks and bathrooms being out of order or nasty or not usable, we broke down and bought a smallish Travel Trailer with all our wants and needs already built in. This little one is for the rough stuff and the big one for many day getaways.

Absolutely incredible set up !!! I’m working on my ladder to get to my roof rack !!!!! We have one like this that we have been adding mods too for quite a while we’re all subscribed up now !!!! Thanks for the video

That's pretty minimalist, that's for sure. And if that works for you, then nobody has reason to give you grief. I will say that I see a lot more potential there. That v-nose could be setup with above and below cabinets for food, etc. and you could do a sink with modest fresh and gray water (look at my trailer tour to see what I'm talking about). You have the capacity to throw a basic solar rig on there, too. I put a 200w Renogy system on my trailer, and I can't tell you how HUGE a difference that made. Oh, and I'm with you on the ladder idea....I'm still trying to figure out an efficient way to handle that on mine (curved roof makes it a challenge).

I love these ideas. If I get one, I would order the rear doors split with two hinges. I've seen some clever enclosures with doors like this in the sprinter van builds.
@Vman13134 жыл бұрын
That wold be cool! Ive contemplated seeing if I could hinge the door from the top so I can have it flip up to act as cover but since I dont use the back for cooking or anything else, I have not followed thru.

Cool little camper. A little small for my taste.. but cool. I converted a 7x12 last year. Love it. Plenty of room for the kids. Anyway.. enjoy it.
@Vman13134 жыл бұрын
Yeah, this one is meant to do things you can't do with a 7x12 like run tight trails and get into hard to reach areas. I used to and very rarely still do use our 6x10 as a camper but usually for motorcycle rallies or events. Love the room in it compared to this little shrimp hahaha! Thanks for watching!

Also, I agree 1000% about spending $25,000 or more on a camper is ridiculous when you could build at least 2 shitty versions of these before you perfect it for yourself. AND you get to sell your earlier versions and recover some costs! I've been on this rant for years about the costs of teardrops skyrocketing so high.

Yep, Adventure Trailers (and RTTs and skottles for that matter) are sweet GREAT and AWESOME inventions that are WAY overpriced just because its the new thing the new rave. I wont lie that if I hit the lottery for stupid money I would probably go buy stupid money stuff like an Earth Roamer hahaha BUT with teacher money comes frugal purchases and making things work until (like you say) you perfect them. I am looking into a 5wide now just so I can take my fiancee more with me but for other reasons as well though I dont even blink when hitting tight trails with the 4x8 knowing if the Jeep fits, easily so will the trailer.

For inside, just get a deadbolt for a gate to lock yourself inside.

Love the setup/overlanding loadouts. Are you still on the original Nittos for the Jeep? Would you go with the same tires or go with something else?
@Vman13134 жыл бұрын
Still on the Nittos and no complaints at all from them. I would love something more aggressive (looks wise as well as performance) but all the duties the Nittos pull of off pavement vs daily vs pulling trailers vs all I ask it to do with no issues or sounds...it's hard not to get them again.

Great video, Did you flip your axle to gain the lift. I’m in the Athens Ga. area and never seen one lifted on a trailer lot !
@Vman13133 жыл бұрын
Thanks neighbor, I'm up in Commerce. Yes I flipped the axle to gain clearance. Not hard at all to do especially when the trailer is newish since nothing is rusty or bent. Haha!

I have a 6x12 that I camp in occasionally but I don't trail it. 6 will be too wide for trails. A 5 wide would be good for trails but a 6 is sooooo comfortable!
