Yeah, once you see the pup you can't stop seeing it, cute, didn't see it at all until you pointed it all out. Yes, it's me, better late than never 😂. I started well, got right up until just before you began sanding and had to go get an early breakfast. This time a visit to the urgent care centre to have a horrible swelling insect bite on my face looked at, marvelous! It's only ten minutes down the road, nice chap on the door worked the triage screen for me, less than ten minutes and I was seen, I'm diabetic so antibiotics prescribed and off to the chemist, very impressed. Had my usual weekly two hour chat with my friend then dinner, now finally got to finish your video, in bed again before the requisite afternoon kip! Really love this piece Phil, just my cup of tea, beautiful bark, lovely natural shape and so much to look at it's different every time you see it. Gorgeous, thanks Phil.👍

The colours and grain are beautiful, and there’s a striking contrast between wood and bark. This is, I think, the first instance that Toni has said she doesn’t like the finished bowl - just too chunky for her taste. I’m torn as well - I love the nature in it but would have probably turned a portion of the outside. But we both still love you, Phil. Best wishes always.

Mr Phil, I watch several wood turning channels. I think yours is one of the first, if not THE first wood turning channel, I started watching. My appreciation of your work is your appreciation of nature. It's probably the sole reason I watch and enjoy your channel. You are all about preserving the nature of the piece whenever and however you can. That's your style. It's who you are. And I love it. You don't need resin because you have natural appeal. You know how to make a piece of art while still keeping many of the natural aspects intact. This piece is a perfect example. Anyone who calls it ugly simply does not appreciate nature the way you do. Your work is beautiful, Mr Phil. This piece is absolutely beautiful. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

When the best wood turner says a finish is "looks pretty dang good to me," it means that there is no way it can be better, or matched! So we all know how perfect it must be. Phil, that is a very beautiful piece, you really did it justice. Blessings to you as usual, thank you so much for all the effort you put into your channel, it truly is enjoyable and so relaxing to watch you bring out the beauty in a piece of wood. So pretty. I can't believe that there is anyone who not love this bowl. You could tell just how hard the wood was by its sound as you were turning. Right choice to leave the outside unturned as you have on a few occasions. Being end grain was a bit different to your 'normal' choice but really, I don't think you had much option, the piece of wood dictated it. Beautiful job as always my friend, I had a great time ,as always, tuning in. Cheers, Don from South Aust.
