toyo R1Rs are some real sticky street/track tires. They worked great for me on both the drag strip and the road course for my modded prelude.

I drive the T1r and R1R on my integra type r but: i could never outrun/proof them tires fully like these drivers. They drive like hell real nice channel!!!

Eric Scheller Tsuchiya himself explain it in the video, but from the name alone vertical and horizontal is pretty self explanatory isnt it. Surely.

Eric Scheller Lateral and Longitudinal grip, longitudinal being grip when accelerating and braking, and lateral being grip when cornering.

As they say at 2:24, all cars are unmodified, they just got new brake rotors, Image C2 brake pads and fresh oil for the race, that was it.
