Orido really screwed himself when he shifted gears mid turn, but that was a good battle. I feel like sometimes if the MX5 had just a little bit more revs like closer to 8000rpm it be the perfect maybe even pinnacle roadster.

Comment of Tsuchiya on MX-5 RS I’d like a little bit less roll. Suspension setting doesn’t make me scared. Silky good feeling. All gaps are absorbed. Matured man would like this. Comment of Orido (Max) on MX-5 RS It’s still controllable when it’s slipping. Basically it’s a bit under steering. When I’m turning hitting acceleration, car tries to turn but I feel load on front tire is slightly lost. It gives me silky feeling. Comment of NOB on MX-5 RS Differential is working decently. It’s torsen LSD. So it’s not strong as mechanical LSD though, it’s keeping inner side tire away from spinning. Narration on MX-5 RS Builstein suspension is raising the level of the car, however tires are same as what’s on S. The road is half-wet today. Maybe because of this, Tsuchiya is busy with correction steering during corner. Considering Orido’s comment for under-steering, it would be a good idea to change tires for better grip. LSD is common between MX5-RS and Abarth 124 spider. Comment of Tsuchiya on Abarth 124 spider This car is 700 thousand JPY more expensive than MX-5 RS. Additional 40 HP. Looks Italian and more expensive. It’s nice when I’m driving within torque band. I like motion of this car than MX-5 RS. When I make action on the car, rear side rolls in. I’m not sure if I should say this car is better, but I can say this car if more fun for aggressive driving. Comment of Orido (Max) on Abarth 124 spider I can feel the difference of torque. Actually I don’t feel much weight difference. Motion of the car is a bit too quick compared to MX-5 RS. This could be improved by suspension tuning. I like this additional power. Comment of Nob on Abarth 124 spider I can feel specific power curve which is coming from turbo. Motion is not delicate. Personally I like MX-5 than this. Narration on Abarth 124 spider Difference of torque is 10.2kgfm. Overall comment Tsuchiya : I like 124’s aggressive taste. MX-5 is gentle. MX-5 rolls more and I’m a bit scared when the roll is back. So if you drive it moderately, it’s not bad. If you drive to it’s limit, it’s unstable. Orido : I need much power and torque as 124 has. Nob : MX-5 can maneuver 1st then 2nd corner without braking, while 124 has slip on rear. I saw 124’s motion is not really delicate. I prefer MX-5’s light feeling. Ideally I’d like to put engine of 124 on MX-5.
The Canadian and American mx-5 gets a 2.0L with 181 horsepower so I guess if you live in North America you should go for mx-5

LZKaiMarc Well, the majority of Japanese MX5 owners prefer to have “light-weight sport cars”, but not seek powers. As the power unit got more powerful, it got heavier. Additionally in japan the tax is based on displacements of engines so it’ll cost to own more powerful cars, thus the 1.5l model is more preferable in the Japanese market.

half breed? it's a mx5 with a better engine that is cheaper to insure, tax and better for most people in Europe. Also with a few bolt ons you can get nice power out of them
down hill road abarth has heavier noise so it feels better.

I wish, mazda stops compromising on engine power :/. Miata is a great car but the powerband lacks, ok someone can say NA, but when I look at engine bay of MX-5 NB it could easily take something bigger like V6. For example something like jaguar AJ30 V-6 which has same weight but higher power and can fit easily. Furthermore this engine si not so foreign for mazda...
