Let me explain something. Mahamevnawa is not really a temple with the true religion preached by the Buddha. It is sad to say. Here is a religion mixed with Hinduism and Jainism. They have even distorted the Tripitaka, which is the true religion of Buddhism. There are a small number of temples in Sri Lanka that have the real Theravada Buddhism, but unfortunately they are not very popular because people prefer a fantasy. Afraid of reality. Ok now chinese influence in sri lanka not that i dont have objections to it , it is good always be vary of them in future Chinese have a tendency to taking power by influencing , larger picture is alwys is india ocean , sri lanka ,india, nepal are the only left country which have dharmic major cultre alive in indian subcontinent/south asia , and abrahamic/communist country , are at the core at odds with the dharmic , if chinese are now openly showing this in youtube , ig this will be featured in media sometime in futre influence some political view. I think every asian country should visit srilanka as it is the sense pure dharmic than india as there is no major influence by chirstian and muslim which is still largely presnt in india. Giving the image dharmic country are not good but dont know how much abhramic have infurnced in. Last 500 years of of occupation peace longivity to sri Lanka

Only uneducated people say that and they don't provide any evidence. Ask them to come to a world stage and talk about that with the archaeologists, historians representing every Buddhist country including Sri Lanka🇱🇰. Even Chinese🇨🇳 travelers have written about where Prince Siddhartha was born who became Lord Buddha and that is not Sri Lanka🇱🇰.
