This tutorial goes over how to draw the shear force diagram, bending moment diagram, and deflected shape of an overhanging beam that is subjected to a few distributed loads and a point load. This overhanging beam ends up having a deflected shape that is concave down across its entire span, meaning that it will be raised upwards between the two supports, while sagging down on the far right side.
