Engineering of Falcon's Suit

In this video the wing suit of Sam Wilson or Falcon is explored.
The Falcon's Exo-7 wing suit has intrigued a lot of tech savvy individuals. It is a combination of jetpack and ornithoper.
The video looks at the workings of both components. This unique combination of jetpack and ornithopter gives the suit unique flight characteristics.

The EXO-7 wings are never shown flapping, and have no visible way to flap the wings. The wings are, however, frequently shown changing their geometry, allowing them to change the way they interact with the surrounding air. This cannot generate thrust, though. The only way the EXO-7 is ever shown generating thrust is with its jet engines.

Thanks Brendan. Now that I think of it you are right. I guess I was too focused on ornithopers and the immediate example that came to my mind was Falcon's suit. This gives me an idea for a new video

I agree when the winter soldier tore off one of the wings the pack was useless u would think it would still be capable of flight without the wing just retract the remaining wing and fly by jet pack only I think the wings are there for stability and maneuverability u can’t use the wings without jet pack and u can’t use jet pack without the wings if the pack malfunction u would think he’d just glide but without propulsion to maintain lift he just drops like a rock

I agree with most of this, except there are some handles on the underside of the wings that can be used to hold for control of them. Granted this won't affect the other ways the wings adjust shape, unless there are some other controls built into the handles. But there are a lot of times he doesn't appear to be using the handles to control the wings, I've just noticed them as I've obsessed over this idea for a bit lol.

How would the wingsuit theoretically flap? How would it change shape and geometry? Also, it is not the Marvel Comics Universe but Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Plane wings bend aswell just not as much as falcons

6 ft wings with thousands of tiny holes in them and the holes open and close as they go up and down, when the wings go up the holes open when the wings go down the holes close. That allows the wings to draw in air through them and then as they flap downward it pushes the air away allowing it to lift. The wings are able to flap much faster because of this the aerodynamics of it allow it to Flap at speeds of 200 mph with flat feet like a bird's tail you should be able to Glide with the wings and the tail of your feet. A magnetic system that holds your feet together but can come apart easily with an electrical pulse connected to your fingers.

Do you think Vulture's wingsuit from Spider-Man Homecoming is like this? I saw some fans and turbines. Also, do you think the wings can actually move effectively?

Yes its exactly the same. Ornithoper powered by jet engines. Although Vulture's suit seems to have metallic wings, which would not be very useful

No it uses ducted fans, besides v1 has the propellers sitting in the middle of each wings in the other hand v2 has a much more complicated mechanism. btw thx for replying .

That's a very important part of the suit, I have yet to see flight suits with wings that fold, perhaps more realistically like Angel's wings (marvel mutant), instead of Falcon's.
