In my efforts to find a decent on-line Teacher for my child, I have checked many video classes on the internet and you are a cut above most. Good job with speaking slowly, clearly and with structure. Thank you and best...

Most and almost are similar to writing in english, but in portuguese (my native language) the words are very different, the context makes it very clear, facilitating the understanding of this class. Most = mais / maioria (in portuguese) Almost = quase (in portuguese) Exemple: Most children like candy. A maioria das crianças gosta de doces. My niece is almost walking. Minha sobrinha está quase andando . I just wrote to train my english, and share the particularity of the portuguese, thank you very much for the classes, I'm loving it all!!!

Hi Emma, firstly I want to say thank you for your lessons. I have a question. At 9:26, in the second questions, we can say "I'm almost all finished" ? I think the mean of sentence is different. What do you think ?

Dear Emma, well done, your diction is clear and you don't speak too fast. But please try to make your hand-writing and punctuation clearer for ESL students - those whose first language uses a different script [examples: Arabic, Greek, Chinese] will not be very aware of full stops/periods, commas, etc, or of the convention of writing the last word of a sentence on the next line. Best to write short sentences all on one line, I find. Thanks, Another English/ESL teacher :))

Superb explanation on the topic 👌👌👌👌 Most people want name and fame. Most of the students cosider the issue useless. I know most products of this company. I almost finished my graduation. You were almost to win the race. Almost all the videos of our mam are easy to understand. The criminal destroyed almost all the infrastructure of this area. We had to pay almost all the advance in lump sum. Are these sentences correct mam 🙏

can an adverb describe a noun?? mmm, I suppose in that case ALMOST must function as an adjetive. but I culdn't grasp the idea that an adverb could do that, by the way an adverbs answers one this 4 questions, WHY, WHERE, HOW, WHEN? that means that we need an action verb in order to ask such questions in the MOST cases. in the example above about the time, IT's almost 3 o clock, almost is an adverb of the verb "to be"
