I have been using fillout forms for over 3 months and love the product. Their customer support is very very top. I am so glad Gareth shares this fantastic tool with its curated airtable community. I just wish the author get enough traction to keep the pricing model with low changes. Sadly similar services like miniextensions started at 20/month and now charge 299/month for the same value. Lots of user should be migrating to fillout if pricing is a concern.

Thanks for the kind note. We're committed to always having a generous free tier and it goes without saying that anybody who signs up now will have the current plans indefinitely, even if we do make tweaks to the pricing structure down the line :)

Great point! I also hope that the company can keep it's prices competitive 🤞

Major project now is replacing all the Airtable prefilled forms and separate tables for updating records. Fillout is so much easier to create the form and cleaner for users to interact with

Hi. Am not sure what I'm looking for so I need your help. I have a database of Club Members, I want a system where I can click on a button and it automatically creates a letter using the information available in that data line. Thank you.

This is fantastic. I love the controls that Fillout offers here. One question - let's say you eliminated the field "Quantity" but you wanted people to be able to select multiple "Items," such as "Pencils Package," "Pens Package," and "Erasers Package." They could select one, two or three. Is there a way to then parse that into three separate records in Airtable? So potentially three records: Gibraltar-Address-Pencils, Gibraltar-Address-Pens, Gibraltar-Address-Erasers. I'm part of the paid coaching cohort, so if this is better for me to ask there, please let me know. Or, if you've done a video on this specific ask, let me know and I'll go find it! Thanks!

Nevermind - I figured it out! Luckily I had the day off and so I basically graduated Make Academy and learned all about the Iterator function. And after failing to use that correctly and learning a bunch of stuff I didn't want to do, like iterate to Google Sheets, I explained what I was trying to do to ChatGPT and voila! This English major is feeling pretty clever. In case anyone wants to understand what I did. I created a Fillout form where you could have one rider at a horse show sign up for multiple events (multiple select field). That created an Airtable record with the rider name and all the events they signed up for listed in the multiple select field. For example, rider Christine in Barrels, Poles and Jumping events. Next, I wanted to iterate that one record into three records: Christine - Barrels, Christine - Poles and Christine - Jumping, so I could assign a time to each individual event. I created a Make automation that first used an Airtable Search Records module (it searched in my table for any record that has >1 Event). Then I put in the Iterator module and put the Event array in the little box. An array is a list (that's what I learned in Make Academy). Then I added an Airtable Create Record module. Under record there's a box for Event; I put the RecordID from the Iterator. There's also a box for Rider; I put the Rider [ ] from the original Airtable Search Records module. Then I hit play and it turned that one record of one rider and three events to three records, each with the rider and the separate event. I have no idea if that makes sense to anyone, but I'm sharing just in case it does. I watched about a dozen KZbin videos and did portions of Make Academy to figure this out but if you can get pretty far and it's still not working, you'll probably be intelligible enough to explain it to ChatGPT and have that figure things out for you.

Hi Christine! We can dive into this in group coaching, but I can also try to answer here. If you use this approach, you can have a checklist where people select the options they want in the form. Then with an automation, create a new record for each option that is selected.
