What really causes mass inflation is rich people hoarding money, but for some strange reason she doesn't bring that up and blames something unrelated. She also claimed Canada needs to be energy independent when Canada already is and in fact has a massive surplus of energy to the point where most of power we generate gets sold to America because we have no use for it. She's just listing off a bunch of buzzwords without offering any actual ideas or suggestions to resolve these "real issues" that she's so concerned about and instead blames it on the vague concept of "wokeness". I understand her point, but having taken a basic economics class, the main thing I learned that I still take with me is that things are a bit more convoluted and counterintuitive than they may seem at face level (and that economics is a bit more of an art than a science in many areas). Increasing taxes is sometimes specifically done to combat inflation (believe it or not). Higher taxes can reduce consumer spending, leading to demand for goods and services to decrease. Decreased demand helps slow and control inflation. Although, nothing is without issue and it is a never-ending battle to find the right balance to keep the economy intact. Make taxes too high and consumers won't have any disposable income (only buy necessities) which will slow economic growth to an extent and could even cause a recession.

”You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.” (Exodus 20:7) ”And you shall not swear by My name falsely, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.” (Leviticus 19:12) Consider this: a man insults his boss and he’s fired. A man insults a king and he’s killed. The greater the authority; the more severe the punishment. So what if a man insults a Holy God!? You may not have realized it, but saying “*MG” or using the name of Jesus disrespectfully is called “blasphemy.” It's taking the name of the God who gave you life and breath, and dragging it through the mud as a curse word. God “will not hold him guiltless who takes His Name in vain.” (Exodus 20:7) God is perfectly just; He must condemn all sin, which results in eternal punishment (hell). But God made a way for you to be forgiven. God took on flesh, in the Person of Jesus Christ. He lived a sinless life and offered Himself on the Cross as a sacrifice for sins. Jesus died, and three days later rose from the dead, proving the penalty fully paid. Now God commands you to repent and place your faith in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. God will give you a new heart that desires Holiness. So cry out to God confessing and forsaking your sins and trust in Jesus! Get a Bible and find a church which preaches through it verse by verse. Already Christian? The Bible warns you to examine yourself. Jesus said “evil trees will be cut down and cast into the fire.” A tree is known by its fruit. An evil tree produces evil fruit (like blasphemy). Has your heart been changed? Read the book of 1 John and compare yourself to Scripture.

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu (Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you), It is with an unwavering commitment to the principles of our faith that I address a matter of grave concern within our educational institutions-one that demands not just sternness, but an uncompromising stand for our sacred rights and values. We find ourselves in a perplexing situation where teachers, school administrators, and certain politicians have, in the name of tolerance and secularism, chosen to overlook the religious lapses among our Muslim students while at school. This level of indifference is not just concerning; it is an affront to the core principles of our faith. In Islam, we believe in the sacred duty of parents to guide their children in matters of faith and moral character. We instill in them the significance of daily prayers, the honor of the hijab, and the profound values that our faith embodies. Yet, we are witnessing an alarming trend where educators exercise discretion in not immediately informing parents about their children's religious failings. This discretion is nothing short of collusion-a betrayal of the trust that parents place in educators. Let us be unambiguous in our stance: In our society, parents have been entrusted by Allah Himself with the divine responsibility of nurturing their children's religious upbringing. It is not merely a right but a sacred obligation-an act of love and devotion to our children's spiritual well-being. When educators choose to withhold information about a child's lapse in faith, whether through neglecting prayers or removing the hijab, they are undermining the very essence of our faith. Islam teaches us the importance of honesty, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of life. When educators remain silent about these lapses in religious practice, they not only deprive us of the opportunity to fulfill our sacred duty but also perpetuate a culture of neglect and indifference. We must not be swayed by the false notions of political correctness or misdirected secularism. The faith and moral upbringing of our children are at stake, and we, as Muslim parents, demand the uncompromising adherence to the values we hold dear within our educational institutions. In conclusion, I implore teachers, school administrators, and politicians to reconsider their stance on this matter. Let us not shy away from our commitment to honesty, accountability, and the preservation of parental authority. This is not a plea for tolerance but a resolute call for an inclusive and honest dialogue, one that respects the sacred responsibility of Muslim parents. May Allah grant us the strength and determination to uphold our values and fulfill our duties as parents, and may our educational institutions heed this call for the sake of our children's faith and moral character. JazakAllahu Khairan (May Allah reward you with goodness)

@@T-Bajaj It is amusing as heck that Conservatives cry over Canada's lack of energy sovereignty when more than 40-years ago they lost their minds over Trudeau-the-elder's NEP, which _would have_ guaranteed Canada's energy sovereignty. Instead they threw a temper tantrum, screamed and hollered 'bloody murder', threatened _western separatism_ and fought the federal government tooth and nail to prevent the very thing they're now belly-aching about. Conservatives are immune to irony and allergic to self-awareness. _"Let them freeze in the dark"_ was Alberta's response to the NEP and central Canada's need for western Canadian fossil fuel in the wake of the OPEC oil crisis of the 1970s. THAT's how much Conservatives were concerned about Canada's energy independence! And nothing has changed since. Conservatives not only at the national level (particularly Alberta Conservative hypocrites like Ms Rempel here), but also the provincial level-in Alberta (and later Newfoundland and Labrador)-have had more than 40-years to build Canada's energy independent and instead they've focused on selling our energy resources offshore faster than they could count the profits in their portfolios. If Conservatives were truly serious about Canada's energy independence, why didn't the previous Conservative federal government do something about it over the 9-years they were in power?! Ans.: Because they've never been serious about the issue. It's not the Liberals who've hindered Canada's movement to energy independence, it's the Conservatives. Forty-plus years of inaction by Conservatives at the federal and provincial levels of government proves it. _“I did not mean that Conservatives are generally stupid; I meant, that stupid persons are generally conservative. I believe that to be so obvious and undeniable a fact that I hardly think any hon. Gentleman will question it.”_ -John Stuart Mill, Considerations on Representative Government (1861)
