Maglev Trains use magnetic levitation to move without touching the ground. This is done by magnets which both lift the train up from the ground and propel the train forward. This is why they are more efficient at high speed since there are virtually no fictional resistance once the train is lifted off the ground. These security checks don't seemed to be too bad. It is highly exaggerated by the media. I am pretty sure the scrutiny is much worse for Chinese nationals to enter US.

The original maximum operating speed of the Shanghai Maglev Train was 430 km/h, with a single trip taking about 8 minutes, making it the fastest commercially operated train line in the world. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a decrease in passenger traffic at Pudong Airport, the maximum operating speed of the train was adjusted to 300 km/h starting May 1, 2020. This speed is similar to that of China's bullet high-speed trains. Although 300 km/h is still very fast, I rode the train a few times before the maximum speed was lowered, and the experience at the highest speed was truly amazing.

The taxi fare in China is actually very cheap in general, and everyone likes to use Didi. When it starts working, you can notice the driver's location, license plate number, brand and body color. When you see the car approaching you, it is probably easier to walk over and find it than to call Or you can try to take a taxi in a place where there are not many people, so that both of you find it more convenient to meet each otherChina welcomes you and hopes you have a good time

I hope you are not depending upon the usual Western Mainstream Media for your news on other countries outside the U.S.A. as they have a nasty habit of over-exaggerating their news reports. A couple of years ago, Australia was having its usual annual bushfires except this one was a little bigger than normal. The way the news was reported, it would make people believe that the entire Australian continent - which is almost the same size as the United States (sans Alaska) - is on fire and yet, the fires were burning in just a few states and in mostly rural parts. None of the cities and suburbs were at all threatened but in listening to the news or reading their paper in the U.S., one would believe that the whole continent is on fire. The same thing applies to the annual floods in China - which are only in specific regions and in low laying areas. Considering the size of the country which is larger than the whole of Europe put together, you can see how easily misconceptions can occur and faked news reported.
Thank you so much for the warm welcome and great information :)

This Shanghai Transrapid can go 430 km/h, but it operates at only 300 km/h. The original German Transrapid, they sold it to China a long time ago, did make 550 km/h! Hmm, I remember the time I lived in Germany. I did go countless times 300 km/h on motor bikes an in some cars, mine made it only up to 250 km/h, on the German Autobahn. Yep, it is fast, but you get used to it... ;-) Hmm, China... Have fun guys and don't get locked up... ;-)
@ronaldlau93635 ай бұрын
It's a shame, coz they used to actually do over 400km/h [shaving a whopping minute off the journey(!)] before reducing the speed in the last few years. So the experience of fastest train that an ordinary person can normally get on (as opposed to test runs or demonstration runs open to the public) is less genuine in that sense, compared to before the pandemic.

China built another Maglev train line at the speed of 1000km per hour. “Taiyuan's 1,000km/hr High-Speed Train Experimental Line is a low vacuum pipeline high-speed train line on which trains are intended to travel at greater speeds than most civil aircraft, and at a speed that is even approaching the sound barrier.”

These scales are not accurate. However, the roadside stalls selling stir-fried vegetables do have clear prices. However, are their hygiene standards up to standard? Recently, China used a tanker truck that transported mineral oil to bring cooking oil, which caused a sensation! In the end, nothing happened. It seems that you foreigners don't understand China.
