I agree with this comment, if you need to use any codes to make this as accurate as possible, go for it, I am sure Ash has a game shark and his pocket somewhere in the anime. LOL. Also, you can get flamethrower on sendaquill, you would have to breed a female one that knows the move with a male that also notice the move, the resulting baby should have it, other than that, there is a move tutor and goldenrod city, but there is no way you would be able to make that work, unless you use cheats, but their again, I am sure ash has the game shark in his pocket somewhere… Also known as bad writing. Charizard won him quiet a few important battles up to this point (like against Gary or Blaine) so I think we can say that he wouldn't be there where he is at this point without Charizad. In conclusion we can say that ash is a f*ckin a**hole 😅

@@derik4126 Ash said that because he, as an overemotional ten-year-old kid, was upset. Don't tell me you never ever told your parents or siblings similar exaggerations of not liking them or even outright hating them. (If you do tell me you've never said such shit when you as an emotion-driven teenager were denied doing something by your parents, or because of some action apparently against you taken by your parents, then I'm calling you out as a frickin' liar.) We can also argue that he also wanted to make the emotional sting hurt less. Charizard did like Ash, for all of Ash's faults and Charizard's pride. Yet Ash knew Charizard deserved better, deserved this chance to better himself. So Ash said the one thing that he knew Charizard wouldn't be able to forgive...the one thing that would make Charizard stay in the valley. ----- Despite those, which puts one in the headspace of a preteen thrust into the situation of facing experts and lifelong criminal organizations in glorified dog-fights with literal dragons, we have a third vantage-point. Specifically, by saying that he could hope for Charizard to reflect on the past. Ash wouldn't be where he is without Charizard, but Charizard also wouldn't be there without Ash. Even when Charizard was at his worst, Ash didn't give up on Charizard. Ash was willing to work with Charizard, was willing to give his own life for Charmander and Charmeleon and Charizard. And by driving a wedge between them by saying that, Charizard might remember the times Ash proved that he cares for Charizard.

Loved the Johto anime, my favourite. So many people skip it because it's very long. You did a great work. Loved this episode!

I feel as though you should break the "no held items" rule only for the sake of giving everyone who never evolves Everstones. That way you won't need to keep pushing "B" each time you level up.

It's nice hearing the music in the background. I like trying to guess what games the music is from. I'm hearing the National Park music (HeartGold/SoulSilver) though I have heard mystery dungeon music now and then

The video capture looks so good! Not sure if you just captured it well through further understanding or from my comment on the previous video, but I'm glad the pixels are so crisp and square.

Considering you gen'd in all of Ash's catches I'm a bit surprised you weren't able to edit movesets or make Noctowl a shiny. That was a dope fight against Morty. Very impressive and cool video. Tbh I could never beat Red as a kid and you just did it with an underleveled team 😅

Simple, the anime is based on Gen 2 and seeing Bugsy use U-Turn or Falkner use Roost would break the anime-scene a bit.

@@superpika1of4 That too. HG/SS are the...sketchiest and most complicated games to hack, imo. I haven't hacked every single Pokemon game ever, but i have always had the most problems with those games

In the anime, moves like Flamethrower and Thunderbolt are learned so early on that I think it's just so that they can animate cooler-looking moves than, say, Ember and Thundershock. Hell, Ash's Pikachu was using Thunderbolt by the time he fought Lieutenant Surge, and it wasn't even mentioned. Pikachu's moveset in Yellow was altered specifically to make this possible. Cyndaquil knowing Flamethrower that early on is only the tip of the iceburg. This isn't to blame you, of course; I think you've done a great job. It's just an interesting quirk for this challenge. Forget all the details people use to point out Ash is a "bad trainer;" he's effortlessly teaching his Pokemon moves at impossibly low levels.

How come you didn't choose to play HG/SS, when you played the remakes of gen 1 last time?
