The Green Lanterns are encapsulated by a force field which makes them far more durable than Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman combined. Superman is invincible through writers/editors only. Wonder Woman’s divinity is power by the magic of the Gods, where as the Green Lanterns are gifted by the technology of the Guardians, who are the oldest beings in the universe. And Batman’s brilliance is limited to Earth, Green Lanterns have access to the Book of Oa, a universal book authored by the oldest beings in the universe. The Guardians are scientist. Each Green Lantern’s universal encounters are updated in real time and posted in the Book. Batman’s knowledge is limited. Green Lanterns knowledge is universal.

The ring doesn’t require a recharge every 24 hours. The recharge is required after 24 hour USAGE. This means: a day of light activity or no activity, may only leave the ring charge at 95%. So the next morning a recharge isn’t required. Conversely; a intense day of crisis may require a recharge inside the 24 hour period.

Flash maybe be faster on planetary globes. But they are not faster in space plus the reaction of a Green Lantern thanks to the ring is as fast as the wearer needs to be. Flash is fast. But he can’t escape gravity, not only can Green Lanterns escape Gravity, they can control it. Flash is as fast as a Green Lantern allows him to be.

So you just disregard the creation of an entire self sufficient solar system created by John Stewart. The inability to complete the task was solely because it required more than the 24 hour charge to complete. What that means is if the ring had a long charge the task would have been completed. Creating a self sufficient solar system is power beyond powerful and something Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman couldn’t even envision.
