There were a few updates from Dan and SIL from the OP - 1) Dan and SIL divorced soon after the Xmas party as it turned out that it was SIL's idea to go to his party as she stated "he won't throw us out after we're in his house!" but the verbal tongue lashings they got from the extended family didn't help either, and it served as a wake up call for the parents and Dan. 2) It turned out that SIL cheated on Dan with the youngest baby not being his, he managed to get his name off the birth certificate which went over well with SIL as she wanted to drain him dry even more of child support. However, it turned out that the guy she had an affair with, was a 40yo man who said "I didn't want this kid, I'm too young" and broke up with SIL soon after the divorce. 3) SIL physically abused Dan and her kids and the OPs family after being confronted about the affair and then went to OP's house and threatened to beat him up saying he was the "entitled one", but when OP mentioned that he had "cameras", she panicked and ran off. The OP and Dan gave information and the videos and other stuff to the police and she was done for assault and OP got a RO on her. 4) The same night Dan had been assaulted by ex-SIL, Dan drove to OPs house with a bottle of whiskey in his hand drunk, OP took him in, but berated him for essentially being over the legal limit to drive a vehicle, he then allowed Dan to stay in the camper van where they played board games and watched DVDs until OP went to bed, allowing Dan to watch movies until he passed out. When OP went to check on Dan the next morning, he left a bottle of headache tablets and a bottle of energy drink (more likely lucozade) to get rid of the hangover. 5) Dan gave his and ex-SIL's room to his son who didn't have a room to himself, and with the permission of OP moved into OPs camper van, which ex-SIL decided to start mocking Dan like she mocked OP by calling Dan a "bum" but it fell on deaf ears. The kids are now nicer now their mother is not in the picture and OP/Dan's parents are trying to repair the damage they've done to OP's relationship with them with OP saying he's enjoying being an uncle now more than ever and that their father isn't on speaking terms with him but acknowledges him more. 6) OP's van got egged possibly by ex-SIL who wised up and dressed with tons of layers so the cameras didn't detect her face, but no other damage was done.

I’ve got a couple more for ya! My uncle was coming out of a laundry mat and saw two guys that seemed to be trying to break into a house. He decided not to get involved, after all for all he knew one of them owned the house and locked their keys inside. But one of the guys says, “This windows locked too.” And that was when the other one spotted my uncle. He started advancing in my uncle and said, “Maybe this old cracker has some money!” My uncle dropped the basket and drew his side arm. Both of the guys ran off. Their are quite a few stories where the gun owner is the good guy but those aren’t the stories mainstream media want you to hear. Another one, there was also a video I saw of a man who was attacked by an mob of mostly college age kids. He is windshield was covered with yellow paint so he couldn’t drive away, the mob was crowding his car and throwing rocks so he couldn’t stay there and if he ran off his car would be gone forever so he drew his gun and told them to stand back. An officer came arrested HIM for assault with a deadly weapon, these are also stories mainstream media doesn’t want you to hear…

For the grandmother story: OP needs to go to the funeral to make sure she's truly dead, gone, and buried. My grandmother was fueled by spite and lived for 15 years after my grandpa passed. There is some closure to be had when she passes plus there is some comfort to be taken in the amount of people who do/don't show when the time comes.

My baby brother has autism and sometimes gets aggressive and yells loudly while crying. Most people say it’s okay and they are fine with it, however, not Karen. One day my family was at a public park outside and my brother started crying and yelling for absolutely no reason. We tried to keep him calm but out of nowhere, Karen comes over and shushes my brother! What the heck? My dad confronted her about it and she started yelling that the screaming was hurting her childs ears and it was annoying. My father told her my brother has autism and we can’t really do anything about it. Immediately Karen glares and says “Sorry” in a cold voice that implied she didn’t mean it. Dad said he had rights to press charges on her but didn’t and then glared back and I did too. So, were we the jerk, or her??

To this day, the pets I've lost still make me sad to think about and it fills me with so much anxiety just thinking of any possibility of losing my dog Hanji- The fact that the grandmother was not only just abusive to begin with, but cruel enough to just give someone's beloved pets away without their knowledge is just so- UGH! In the second story i.e. the next chapter in the "Just Do It For Dan," saga. The OP needs to change *ALL* of his contact information. He not only needs to change the privacy settings of all of his social media accounts. But block his parents, brother & sister-in-law. I also absolutely love the way that they not only made fun of the OP when he was down on his luck. But tried to gouge him if he wanted to park his pickup truck/camper in their yard. The OP also needs to take all of the paperwork from all of the times that his family broke into his house und have a restraining order taken out against all of them. To include Dan's children.

I swore at my sister on the phone a couple weeks ago. See I'm an insomniac, and in order for me to get any sleep, I need to maintain a stable sleep schedule. see this story My sister-in-law, Diane, was a nurse in the Pacific Northwest. She lived in a very HCOL city. Fifteen years ago she bought herself a small apartment in a new development. It took about two years to build. In that time the price of apartments in that building went up by about 30%. She didn't sell it because it was perfect for her. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with breast cancer about two years after she took possession. She really didn't want to move back to Minnesota so she asked her family for money to keep up with the mortgage. None of them had the money. And her mom really wanted her to move home. I was friends with her before I married her sister. Just friends. Nothing more. She asked me for help. I bought the apartment off her. I took over the mortgage. I didn't charge her rent. I paid all the taxes and condo levies. She got enough money from her insurance and a side hustle to live there. My wife knew we were helping her but we didn't say anything because her mom was pissed that she didn't move home after her diagnosis. Diane passed away last month. She had a hard life for the last decade but she was happy. When her mom got a copy of the will she was furious. The apartment is worth a lot of money not. It's in a great building in a good neighborhood. She was expecting the apartment to sell and for there to be money to split up amongst all of her grandchildren. Diane never married and never had kids. MIL found out about the deal I made with Diane. My wife and I own the apartment outright. After we clear it out and get rid of all her stuff we are going to rent it out. The income it will generate will pay for our retirement in a while. And when sell it our kids will have a nice nest egg to help them. But now my MIL told everyone how we took advantage of her daughter in her time of need and stole her apartment. And how Diane would be upset if she knew that we were not sharing all the money from the apartment. It is really starting to bug my wife and she is saying been should sell it and help out all the nephews and nieces. I showed her a spreadsheet of all of our costs for the apartment. If I subtract all of my costs. And all of my lost opportunities for investment. When everything is said and done the eight niblings might get $3,000 each. I said if she wanted we could give them each that much to get her family not drop it. Her family says that it's bullshit and that we should sell the apartment and split it equally. I said I would be willing to do that in return for each of them paying one third of the money I invested over the last ten years. They don't think that's fair. My wife is upset and her family is upset and I'm just trying to be fair to myself. I spent ten years giving up other investments and toys for myself and helped out Diane instead.
