You wore correct on 90% of this but where you wore wrong where you wore basically saying that ENTJs cannot interpret intentions or understand motives of others. Actually we are very, very sufficient at this. ENTJs see the grand scheme of things we are far above the clouds we are looking at the world from the satellite view and we can peace the planet together from one detail at a time. The thing people do not get about ENTJs is that we are extremely complex and evermore growing in that complexity because of the ever expanding on new knowledge and information. I would argue we are one of the most misunderstood because we are one of the most complex types. In my personal opinion the NT types are more rare because of their complex design. Influence is our mastery and manipulation is second nature. Playing the strings of people's minds is simply a different tune of playing the strings of interments to us, you give us less credit for what we are capable of. This is the comparison of a ENTJ that is good with systems vs a ENTJ that is generally good with almost everything. When a ENTJ finally break pass their quirks with people they can rule over them through understanding the nature of man, then we can move everyone around and place them were we see fit. Not because we want to rule them but because we understand all the Lego pieces and where they are best placed. Understand the essence of everything we do is driven by purpose. Without purpose everything we do is dead.

I type as an ENTJ, BUT.. just barely. I'm 55% E. vs Introverted. When you finish off the video making suggestions about not getting rewarded, I agree with that to a degree. I do take on more than I can handle often. I have been called intimidating often. I suck at social influence unless I'm being fun/entertaining. I am very much doing oriented, not words oriented. I definitely rush into things sometimes before I understand it all the way. Where I disagree the most is open minded ness. I thrive open minded-ness. Curiosity, and studying out an idea when brought up. I love listening to people's ideas. Although I should mention I've been studying Zen for the last year.. and I do notice I'm less biased than previously.
@ErikThor5 жыл бұрын
Right, so I/E is not a matter of degree, 55% on E means 55% chance you're extroverted, but it does not determine how extroverted you are, that's something a lot of people miss. The Big5 shows you on a scale, so they compare you to the rest of the population, so you can be 55% more outgoing than the average person. But I/E in the mbti is a little different and the MBTI can't scale it like that. Getting 90% on intuition doesn't for example mean that you have only 10% sensing, that would suggest the person was highly unstable and unfit to live in the real world. Does that make sense? :)

This video was for the most part excellent and very accurate. However, I'm very ENTJ and have always been good (imo, but my friends have independently told me this too) at understanding peoples' motivations and intentions, so I think you're wrong about that. Both of my brothers are also ENTJ and they are both pretty good at it as well. The reason is that ENTJ's see the overarching pattern and our primary function is dissection and compartmentalisation of external phenomena, essentially 'deconstructive' external pattern analysis, along with the desire to learn how to control that phenomena for a given outcome. As long as a behaviour has previously been catalogued, we are likely to pick up on the patern again. It's often almost too easy where you can end up pre-empting people, especially in a debate, argument or a social situation where you want to engineer a particular outcome or response. There is of course a certain margin of error as with all human perceptions. I'd say our main weaknesses are empathising with 'feelers' who see the world predominantly through the lens of emotions, feelings and internal consequences, instead of how we see the world as primarily about actions, results and very long term goals and this can cause us major problems. When I was younger I used to find it extremely difficult, actually infuriating (and sometimes still do), when people couldn't stick to the parameters of a debate or an idea or a project (although I don't mind the expansion of the parameter if it is warranted and insightful), but instead would go off into the 'pointless' undergrowth of their own emotions and get nothing done except wallow in their own current situation. I saw it as a form of abject failure if they couldn't appreciate the value of my vision or engage with me in debate in a reasoned manner to try to change my opinion, which I do readily if it turns out they have information or perspective that I was lacking. Learning to integrate an appreciation for the 'feelers' (they have advantages as conduits to the entire 'feeler' subsection of personalities and allow you to modify your plan, parameters, workplace, mode of behaviour etc to ultimately include more people, which is rarely bad) into my personality has been a major part of maturing and like most ENTJs, I suspect it will be a lifelong process.

ENTP 17 year old high school girl here! I have an ENTJ teacher, we dont really get along........... Ive read alot about entp/entj relationships, and even tough we are both analytical types we tend to not really get along. The class usally starts With him commenting on the fact that I am late (im always late bc I dont give a shit). Somewhere in class I am accedently doing or saying something that he finds extreamly annoying and disrespectful and then he starts to yell at me and might even kick me out. This I find is kind of funny bc it is in a way steriotypical ENTJ and ENTP behaviour (I can be a very steriotypical entp, im basicly known as a science meme) I tend to be very drawn to ENFP's (have a lot of Enfp friends) and eventhough Enfp are feeling types I find that ENTJ's handle my emotions better than my ENFP friends. ENTJ's are like cold assholes sometimes (whitch rather like) but I find them to be very good at dealing with emotions in a paradoxical way. I don't know if it is about personal prefrence or if it is something that ENTJ's are good at. I have bipolar disorder and I also suffer from really bad panicattacks. In my experience ENTJ's handle this in a very good manner. So a little story time here: I was at a party got a panicattack (a very very very bad one, I was gone for 2 hours) my enfp friends starts to panic more than me, eventhough they been With me before when ive had them and ive given them clear instructions what to do, whitch is to do nothing, bc I can deal With it, besides they freak out and make it worse. One of my ENTP friends was litterely confused AF as to what was happening (This ENTP does not know what panicattacks are, and can sometimes be terrible With emotions, and he does not know me very well) my other ENTP friend knows how to deal With it becuse this ENTP is very good With emotions and he knows me a, he is comforting me in an okay way it was fine you know, but at this party was a 21 year old ENTJ who has been in the military (Yes I know, a tough as mutherfucker), he didnt know me I didnt know him, but he knew exacly what the fuck was going on. My ENFP friends who had experience With me having panicattacks in front of them multiple Times didnt know wtf to do, but this mutherfucker did. He cleard the room and checked my puls etc, he was really cool about it, and didnt ask uncomfterble questions. Ive had similar experiences With ENTJ's before while having panicattacks or other bipolar problems. Eventough we dont really get a long to well, if I am dealing with emotional issues, an ENTJ's house is where im at. They dont overreact and they tell you to suck it up and they give you a kick in the ass and they tell you if you are being a little bitch, besides they know how to deal With shit effectivly and dont ask personal questions that gets me uncomfterble.

The main difference is, that i‘m able to implement my plans and ideas and bring them into the world. She really struggles with this and is a really chaotic thinker. I think we get along so damn well is because we share many opinions. ENTJ and ENTP could rather be really good friends or enemies. Another ENTP friend and I hated each other previously and it was very, very intense. Now we get along well but she‘s really into arguing. That’s so fun but sometimes it’s too much even for me, who really enjoys debates. The INFP girl in our friendgroup is like: „You know girls, when you start arguing, my brain goes into stand-by mode immediately.“

ESTJ's are sometimes less willing to take a chance without proper proof that a method actually works then ENTJ according to theory. (I know it's a bit stereotypical, and it doesn't allways have to be that way for all of you). ENTJ could sometimes skip some steps in a prosess for the sake of efficiency, if they believe it will be sufficient, and this way of thinking could lead to the ENTJ eighter taking too high of a risk and prone to loose, but if it succeeds it could also put ENTJ in a lead position over the more stable and secure ESTJ who trust statistics and results.

Seek what most intrigues you, find you the core aspects of it. You will know how to make a living out of and retire out of the money you make regardless of how interesting you approach the subject as you are going to always try to see from the deepest grandest schemes. You will inevitably hire people and create jobs regardless of what field you get involved (even though each one of us have a preference). Maybe you want to specify in rocket engine, you might even learn engineering just out of curiosity to better manage your plans. Maybe you prefer to specify in supplying in general and consulting, then you open a company for consulting. You maybe are more interested in opening a general company for business strategy and investment, then you might just learn Mathematics or Physics at University during your company founding. So, that's how these things go, more specifically as the question seems to be asking...

I feel so fully understood without being judged. This situation makes me sad. 💔

Fascinating pair you two are. My 3-year-old daughter is an ENTJ and my husband is an ISFJ. She is the entertainer and constant talker. He pays attention to her daily needs such as her clothes and cleanliness. He listens to her and jokes and plays with her.

I’m ENTJ, and I know I’d make a more efficient house-spouse than my future partner. So I am going to make as much money as I can (and have multiple streams of passive income), so I can retire early and settle down to be a house-wife and full-time mom. There is no way I’d let future husband have all the fun raising our babies and cats, that’s what I want to do.

Could a female ESTP and male ENTJ relationship work ?
@ErikThor5 жыл бұрын
They have a very similar communication style so that makes things easy but there's going to be a small tendency towards drama and power struggles so stay wary of that. When healthy, you'll challenge each others but give each others space to express yourself, divide power equally, when unhealthy, you'll both want to be the one in charge. The SP vs NJ means you're going to experience a tug of war between slowing down and working long term vs living in the moment and enjoying the fruits of life. TP vs TJ is great because TJ and TP tend to naturally challenge each others to reach higher and think wider, but there's risk of miscommunication between the two as well, and TJ may think of TP as a cheat, and TP may mistake TJ as a slave driver during stress. So just make sure you remain aware of each others values and respect each others difference and go for it! :)

ENTJ. But my F and T are dangerously close. I tip over to the T side. In personal relationships I can be very emotional. But in the professional world I can be soooo goal driven and will stop at nothing.
